I have an incredibly silly question. If Kaidan were on the squad for ME2, where would you have put him? I've been toying with an AU where he does join after Horizon, but I'm at a loss for what his regular station would be and where he'd sleep, though I suppose he could bunk with the regular crew.

I guess somewhere on the engineering level, since he's a tech guy, and not real social.  I've been thinking about a station for him in that little alcove right outside of Shepard's cabin, personally, but I don't think you're taking your fic in that direction...

Hypothetical: If Kaidan had come to the collector base, do you think he could've held the biotic shield? I would like to think he could, L2's are said to be very powerful so i he would have about the same strength as Jack. what does everyone else think?

We've had that question before, I believe it was Jaer's response that "since Shepard was under the shield he would have held it regardless of whatever it cost him physically to do so," and I agree with that.

Probably not. Jack is only as strong as she is because of the experiments performed on her. Vyrnnus was abusive, but Teltin was a "whole 'nother scale" Kaidan could probably lead the fireteams, though.

8.) And of course Shepard and Kaidan, having ignored all the nonsense going on throughout the ship, will die of sexual exhaustion in each other's arms.

P.S. I am demented.

That would be a hell of a way to go! Posted Image

It's possible but hard to say, I doubt it. Jack and Samara could barely hold it to the end and that's the main source of their power, which is even stronger than his.

I like that it's not supposed to be dark.  I'm a little worried they're adding a bunch of comic relief characters though.  I'd hate to end up with a Jar-Jar Binks in my Mass Effect.

There is a comment, somewhere, that Alenko's biotics are as strong as an Asari's. I doubt he has the same brute strength as Jack, but he's better at using what he's got. (Both control and finesse, to get the results to do what he wants, I'd think.) So... he might actually be comparable to most Asari, but they do go out of their way to imply there's something special w/Samara and the Justicar thing so...

I think he could hold it, being determined, (even w/Male or non-romanced Shep), but I think there ought to be some horrible side-effects for the poor man. I mean, holding that shield should have fracked up Samara and Jack, judging by the previous details you're given on the swarms. The fact that suddenly a biotic shield works against massive concentrated swarms, even short-term, from someone like Miranda, makes the whole reason you had to go after Mordin kinda questionable. I find it seriously annoying. (Which is why I killed poor Samara in my fic. Cause pulling off that shield should've been a bigger deal.)

But we love your demented tangents :o

I feel special for being the only one who liked him. Same as feeling special for being one of the known few to like Kaidan too.
Dreams of Kaidans, I assume one would say here.

SORRY FOR THE LONG POST JUST CATCHING UP ON MY RESPONSES!

I have a few questions for everyone and would like to know what you all think.

1: On Horizon do you think Shep is more sad than angry?

2: Do you think that the Council offering you your Spectre status back just a big PR stunt so that if Shep is victorious they can say that they sent Shep on this mission?

3: Anderson believes you about the Reaper threat whether you go to see him before Horizon or after, so why doesn't he believe that you are using Cerberus as a means to an end?

4: Why doesn't anyone trust you? I know the biggest problem is that you are working with Cerberus but, it still feels like everyone is against you Posted Image

1.  My Shep would have been very sad, if she had been allowed to react naturally.  Instead she was pretty monotone, and unconvincing.  For a woman who occasionally pulls out stirring motivational speeches, it was pretty pathetic.

2.  Yeah, I do think it's partially public relations, but it's also to have some pretense of control over Shepard.

3.  I have no idea.  Why can't we ask the Systems Alliance Military for help against the Collectors, and blow off Cerberus?  Maybe Anderson is wondering that too.

4.  I didn't even trust my Shepard.  I was totally waiting for the fake spoiler twist ending where you find out that the Shepard you play as is a clone, and Legion is the real Shepard, to be true.  It didn't make a whole lot of sense, but neither did the real plot.

1: My fem!Shep was a bit of both. Sad that Kaidan didn't understand. and Angry that he would just give up on her.

2: Yea it is a PR stunt. Because believe it. They doubt her once and she saved their asses. Now she's going on a suicide mission if she fails, they can hide it and if she succeeds they can say they sent her. Damn Council. And

3: Because politics corrupts. And not even Anderson is resistant.

4: my Fem!Shep against the world with only Garrus and Tali and Joker at her side. D: I love the new crew they are with her too but for against the Alliance and those who know the truth about the Reapers, yea. Her against the world.

I feel like in that case. She would go up to the bridge and watch from one of the cameras with Joker. Then her and garrus and joker and Jack and Zaeed would have like a betting pool on who would win.

They'd be disappointed since it'll just result in an epic staredown contest.

Jacob doesn't have his shades, so he'd lose fairly quickly.

Yea I think Kaidan would win. >D
