I don't know if I would call someone touching my boob during conversation friendly though

Idk about Kaidan being stationed in the cockpit with Joker. How about... on the bed in the captain's quarters? ;D

Hello everyone.

@Ecael: staring contest? My coffee just got sweeter.

@J4N3_M3: FShep is definitely an example of a strong woman, but in ME2 she was just stripped from the rests of her femininity.
Take other examples to compare: Deunan Knute was a master commando with strong sense of justice, but she could be a loving partner and shed tears for innocents.
Major Kusanagi would be the most skilled hacker and cyborg, but that didn't stopped her from wearing uniform skirts and sexy lingerie.
Ripley could scream when her honor as a woman was about to be broken.

ME2 FShep is showing her weird colors only around LI's, and wears a dress because someone forced her to. I'm wondering why we have been given an option to wear makeup on FemSheps. For the rest of the game, she's just a different skin for Sheploo, nothing more, unless we turn our imagination on.

I'm making a strange video montage from Afterlife just to see my Fshep in "the" asari outfit. To show how poorly she looks around those pole dancers :P

(And yes, I do think that both FShep and Deunan look better in uniforms than cyvil clothes. Then again, I'm a weak character looking for a strong example to go after)

oh i wasn't refering to US as the players in anyway...sorry if that came across the wrong way. I meant the people around Shepard in the game  like Kaidan and Anderson for example. They saw her with Cerberus and were like WTF? While people like Joker or the two engineers for example rather LEFT the Alliance to work with Cerberus to actually DO something instead of being stuck at some lame ass job that did nothing against the collector's threat at all. So on this PERSONAL level i really don't understand why people IN the game don't trust Shepard more. I mean, of course she comes back and is WITH Cerberus. Of course people are alarmed. BUT why is everyone acting like in medieval times? I was sometimes expecting them pointing their fingers going WITCH WITCH, ya know? I'd expected some more TALK here. And yeah , I know it's a BW thing lol.

I was just trying to answer the questions from my PoV.

Aahh.  Okay, I see where you're coming from.  And agree completely.  Legitimate question that.

Unfortunately, if you could convince the Alliance (come on, man, Hackett emailed me and told me to go pick up dog tags!  You guys trust Hackett, right?) that you were still you, you could legitimately leave Cerberus, and the entire game would unravel.  I suspect that TIM is supposed to be pulling strings behind the curtain to ensure that does not happen, but it is still annoying.  :?

I saw the Asari outfit and I think it even looks horrible on the Asari *coughs* but thats just my opinion

Anyway, I really think, I didn't get most of my point across in the post I made earlier. That's what happens when I try to read through like 10 pages while posting my reply in another tab. Sorry for that.

Also, I really don't know how far along I can consider my Femshep in ME2. Been playing the game itself for 20+ hours I think. And as you can see from my posts, I am going from hot to cold to hot to cold with everything. It is really strange. When I talked to Jacob the first two times, I liked it. Then I went for the flirting and was grossed out. Same happened with Garrus. I would never talk to a guy like that unless it's some dude I pick up in a bar for a one night stand and I won't ever be seeing him again. So that's just like WEIRD!

Anyway, I still think that my FemShep is female enough for my taste.....still! I dont know how or IF that will change throughout the game.

I'd be a bit more upset if female Shepard was "girly" compared to being a Sheploo clone. The girly part, I just would not be able to take that seriously. I'd find it more believable she acts like a man, as people keep saying.

I never really got the "she's acting like a man!" comments in the first place..
She's not scracthing her belly and making belching noises. She seems rather neutral. Not super manly and not mega girly.

My Shepard is just... Shepard.

But sometimes I think I have too much of a neutral view of life.

Also, I don't see a difference in her behaviour yet compared to how she behaved in ME1. She still sits the way she used to sit in ME1. Crossing her legs the way she does, not like other women do. I do that too. She would totally be my type if I was into girls. Having that strong/weak side and choosing wisely who to show which one. I really adore her. I don't need to see her in dresses or sexy lingerie. I really don't. It is her private business and from a player's pov I think its good that I don't get to see much of it. And like batt said, she's not acting like a man, yet acting too much like a woman would make me as the player not take her seriously at all. I think that's why those who import their characters from ME1 have such a tough time making the decision about cheating or not. While those who just started playing ME2 with a new character aren't that attached to neither shep nor the characters from ME1. As for shayenne I am once again torn about the whole cheating thing. But I am in the fortunate position to play ME1 and 2 with new characters that make different decisions.

I still feel like the people in the game who don't trust Shepard right away are correct in being cautious, while Joker, Chakwas, Tali and Garrus rush into joining an evil organization with seemingly little forethought.

There is no guarantee in the game that Shepard isn't mind controlled, a clone, or has simply become EVIL.  My paragon character would never work with Cerberus willingly, and it kind of disgusts me that there is so much hand waving of their actions, even by characters like Jack.

The Council says that they won't get involved because this is a human concern.  The Systems Alliance is the human government.  It makes NO SENSE that Shepard is unable to go to leaders of the Alliance military after being shot down by the Council, to at least *try* to work with people who don't actively lie to her and send her into traps.

There are some major writing fails in the game, especially concerning Shepard's feelings about Cerberus.  It really annoys me, as you can see.   :P

Your wish=my command.  I'm heading off to breakfast and a long day in the lab but feel free (Sage too if you're around) to pass those on to any other interested parties.

Good afternoon everybody ;-)

this isn´t my day :( laptop crashed at work and I had to work with an old computer with old programms... Think the old computer was a relict of the medieval times...I needed almost double of the time to get my job done :(

Wow, so much happend here again... It will take me a while to catch up :-)

@ Teen, I agree with what you said about Shepard and I was thinking about that mind controlled thing, too. But then again, Miranda told Shepard, that she wanted to implate a mind control chip, but wasn´t allowed bei TIM, because he feared, that could change Shepard´s personality...

My femshep doesn´t trust anyone, besides her crew (at least after they finished together the suicide mission) And the alliance... Well, that I was asking myself, too. Why couldn´t Shepard just talk to them, that makes no sense... They all leave her pretty much alone. Okay, she is a Spectre, but it didn´t really mean a thing...

I hated it, when Anderson didn´t want to tell femshep about Kaidan. And why didn´t get Anderson with Kaidan in contact, after he had met Shepard? I mean my Shepard had seen Anderson, before she had to go to Horizon...

Arrrg! I stop now, before I´m writing a novel here,,, Sorry, I´m just in a bad mood...

Warning: I can make no greater point by this, just getting some weight off my mind!

Well, me too. Because it's comfortable. But that's the reason why I consider her just as other option of appearance for Sheploo. There are of course some differences like Harkin's reaction, this very subtle thing that ME2 lacks of.
Still, I love the glare she gives to Nasaana's body on the desk or the way she says "it's not your damned buissness". Lack of some interaction with squaddies like Kaidan makes ME1 Shep and ME2 Shep different for me: I'm willing to believe she is capable of controlling herself to the point she won't have any breakdown, even tolerate Cerberus as a necessary evil.

J4N3_M3 wrote...

Hah, if someone will ever ask me what kind of women I like, I'll definitely say "like Shepard. Becuse she is strong, beautiful and kicks asses". But "that" place in my heart is taken by Shirow's Motoko.
There's something I've been wondering since I knew I was kinda different from my classmates. I could give them the glare of dissaproval while they were painting nails on breaks, yet I'm having problem with presenting myself in public when they are succeeding in their work, life, anything. Of course that's just a matter of my character and a subject for another discussion.

That's why I like to believe that the ME world has no (typical for our world) discrimination against women. Thou I love military stuff and approve women fighting for their countries as men do, I know they still have to prove themselves, some standarts are lowered for them, because our bodies aren't as capable as men's, sometimes women work twice as hard as guys to prove themselves. I like to think we have feminine dress uniforms, because military wants us to represent it too - correct me if I'm wrong.
Maybe genetic enhanecement equate both men and women in the Alliance, I don't know if Codex contains this type of info. But that shouldn't completely shut down some of our instincts. "Hey, we still have boobs and nice asses, you can tell even by looking at our armors!".

I don't say I want Shepard suddenly jump into a moulin rouge type of stuff ;) Just that she could use some charm in fact, not only because we, fans, see things we want to see.

Sheploo is the default Shepard guy, based on Mark Wanderloo, model who "gave" him face :
