EDIT-i think i've noticed something about that pic that might. it looks like in that pose that his right arm has become significantly longer than his left arm in it. is there something wrong or am i just seeing things due to tiredness?

well after all he's pixelated....on the other hand, we dont know if what seems to be the longer part, might not be just his hand...

If you're seeing what I think you're seeing, it's because his right wrist isn't very well defined.  His right hand is just barely visible, but at a bad angle so it looks like a continuation of his arm.

... or I'm tired too.

I was actually looking more at the position of his right bicept. in comparison to his left bicept, it seems too low and it makes the arm look longer.

IMHO thats because his right shoulder is a bit lower than the left one...

I think at the moment the screen was done, he was in movement. Human models in ME have good proportions, so it's a matter of the animation/motion capture.

Jeez you all go fast in here those days!

Anyway, to react on something said earlier: there is a distinct difference between ME1 and ME2 in both storytelling and character interaction. I'm not capable of really pointing it out, but it is there. I just seriously hope the dev team takes the 'complaints' about lack of dialogue seriously. One of the things is all the recruiting and loyalty missions. I don't mind the missions in themselves so much, but to me they feel 'tacked on' and I don't get the feeling in the end I have a real working team (something I felt I had in ME1). More like a bunch of random people with skills.

I'm probably far from the only one playing BW games for the stories and great characters, I consider ME light on that.

What I agree on here is the loyalty mission things. As a femshep I was hoping to get a stronger connection with Jack after the loyalty missions. I mean, maybe I did something wrong but all I get from her so far is being pushed back and getting accused that I only want to make out with her. WTF? No friendship? No opening up? That really sucks! Then again, maybe that's just me playing the game wrong lol.
Another thing I really don't like is that I can't talk to someone without totally getting the romance-hopes of my dialogue partner high. I wish they would change that so that once I cut any romance stuff down, I'd still have the chance to at least develop some sort of friendship with them dialogue wise other than talking about the mission, the crew or upgrades.....

all i can say j4, it's not you. any characters in ME2 which are potential romantic interests will stop talking to you if you don't persue that path. there doesn't seem to be such things as friends in ME2.

Just finished lunch...

I hated it, too , not be able to develop a platonic friendship. It would´ve been nice to have a little bit more of dialogue possibilities... It felt like the devs want to force a romance on us (I hope the way I wrote it, it´s right). In my first playthrough I just wanted to get to know Jacob a little better.... And then ...Huh... what is that...? That was almost sexual harassment... Well, I quit talking to him:(

Yeah, there is no friendship path whatsoever in ME2, except for maybe Miranda. The rest completely shut off if you are the wrong gender or you don't pursue a romance.

Garrus, Thane and Jack come to mind. Garrus will keep telling his, "one time I had sex with this coworker" story, Thane will completely shut off if you tell him to go make friends and don't choose the "I want you, Thane," option, and Jack will shut off very abruptly as she thinks that femShep wants something with her.

So yeah, it's romance or nothing with these people... -.-

Shep: You're a good friend, Thane. You know, you should get out of this room more and talk to the crew. There's some really nice people around here.
Thane: ................

That's the result of adding too many romances, which is what the fans asked for...and even now they ask for more. Every character that's not romanceable needs to be just that it seems. It's as if they have a set amount of dialogue for each character so if that character is a LI the dialogue is 50/50 or so it feels. Still pissed that my best friend Garrus ended up with so little friendship dialogue to make room for his romance. But I guess that's the 50/50 thing again..or something.

Said it before, less is more. Should have cut a few romances and tossed those resources into ones you really want to develop. Thing is though, they have romances in all flavours now for their fans so despite some characters getting bashed, others get loved whereas the LI's in ME1 mostly got bashed after release. People have a choice now. Don't like Kaidan? Here are 3 other options, now stop whining about him whining and move on.
Sadly though, the luxury of having choices means the romances themselves suffer...or so it feels to me.
Well, unless they start adding in more dialogues...like in DA, but that's doubtful.
