Main Shepard saved the council because, among other things, we didn't see much of a point in letting the Alliance ships sit there and probably get attacked anyway while we opened the Citadel arms.  Even though we're kinda glad it worked out in the end.  ("Out?  What out?")

Oh, and for a new page:

Okay Zinya Saves council because she is a complete 100 percent paragon and believed Vigil said that losing their government was a leading factor to the downfall.

Ariana did it because she thought they would appreciate it and maybe listen to her for once (and bending them to her will might have come to mind)

So I was thinking about the whole choosing between your saving the universe or saving your love interest debate we were having which made me think about Virmire. The whole "choice" in the matter seems very contrived. Shepard has a whole company of space Marines, mercenaries, and volunteers with her and she can't send another squad to the other crew member? I think what would have made that mission more palatable would have been if your actions determined WHETHER you could save none, one, or both squad members. For instance, if you did all for side missions for Capt Kirahee, it would be possible to save the teammate you assigned to him. You think you're just doing the paragon thing and turns out that it's also they key to your paramours safety and what not. I don't know. "Just thinkin' out loud here."

Just finished my very first ME1 fem Renegade run. I swear that some of the dialogue in the Kaidan romance was brand spanking new. At the very least if I refuse to contact the council right away after Virmire I swear that you can get dialogue with Kaidan that you don't get later. Can anyone confirm this or not? It was something to the effect of 'They'll HAVE to believe us now, look at all the evidence we've got!'

I agree. I doubt they'll put that much effort into it. It'll probably be just a "Choose one" situation or the ME1 LI relationship will be permanently closed off without chance of making up. :?

yeah. simple seems to be the theme here. simple and not much effort. <_<

UrbanPhoenix wrote...

Well what really sucked is because of the controversy they downgraded the sex scenes. I mean they were complaining about a bit of nakedness that showed like a third of a side boob. I want a sex scene like the ME1 to come back

qft. seriously, DA:O had *way* more going on in the racy dept. than me1. nekkidness aside, i was actually blushing watching the DA:O scenes, and that kind of stuff does not usually make me blush. i think it was the angles, actually. something about it though...

IccaRa wrote...

I think people who 'stay loyal' to the ME1 LIs will feel personally satisfied at the end, in that staying loyal will be a nice thing to have done. It can't be necessary or detract from the game (just like none of the romances can be necessary) but it can still be emotionally rewarding. :)

But ME2 didn't even have confrontations between its own LIs. And TBH I'm having trouble imagining some of it. Kaidan and Thane? In a 'confrontation'? They'd probably end up talking about something unrelated and make Shepard feel like a total tool. I can see it in some of the MShep LIs, but... heh, it's a little funny that FemShep tends to have older, more experienced romances. It's just not in some of them, IMO.

i hope this is true. and i think that may be the audience there. a stable guy like kaidan would not appeal to the twilight crowd, i think. i could be wrong, but just thinkin' out loud here.

Faith Shepard saved the Council in the hopes that she could manipulate them to her purposes.

i love faith shepard. heck, i love all the femsheps that the kaas plays. they're very well thought out and completely a fascinating take on the central character "type" of shepard. faith scares the heck out of me :( but i like her all the same? does that make sense?:wizard:

Wait until you see her in ME2 without Kaidan around and she's working for Cerberus. You know how she feels about them, yes?

Yes, it did.  If you were reomtely nice to Liara along with the Virmire Survivor, you got a confrontation after the third planet (as long as that third planet wasn't Virmire and the LI died), with Liara and, in my case, Kaidan.

I usually led her on (meta-gaming), because I find the scene funny.  My Sheps led her on because they missed the OMG-I-WANT-TO-HAVE-YOUR-BLUE-BABIES hints she was dropping.

Could even be at the second planet.... as long as you have had two conversations with Kaidan/Ashley and Liara (and they both talked about a romance).

She's talking about the second game, where LIs just refuse to talk to you until you've broken things off with the other LI.  I like what Thane says about "the eyes of another are upon you"  (or something like that, I never played it myself).  I wish I could use that line in real life.  B)

When he said that to me I thought, "Whose?!"   And the I realized he was talking about Garrus.    Sheesh, no playful banter with your best buddy, I guess.  But then Kaidan pulled the "you're clearly interested in someone else" trick if you had even neutral conversations with Liara so I guess it isn't all that surprising.

I know... those things have to have a nasty stench to them... because you know that the only party member that washes clothes is Wynne (and maybe Leliana).

!!! Did I accidentally renegade Kaidan without meaning to?! Noooooooo! :(

Also, I did learn that it's possible to finish an ME1 run with a full renegade bar while not killing everyone. I got to:

1). Save the rachni queen.
2). Save most of the colonists on Feros (killed three because I couldn't remember how to do a melee attack).
3). Free the hostages from Bring Down the Sky and
4). Save the council.

...all without giving up my renegade status. I think I ended up with 7/16 paragon bars filled, too. It's a good day. :) Well, except for that 'accidental renegade Kaidan' thing...:bandit:

I suspect that Leliana may only wear hers during those scenes.  If I were a different sort of writer, I'd do a crossover with her and Kelly.  It seems like they'd get along really well.

I really don't see why it's so "evil" and whatnot to be renegade...

You can be full renegade and still make paragon decisions in the main sections.

Yes, thank you. I said ME2, not ME1. :)

Thane says something along the lines of him wanting to be the only person in Shepard's heart as she is in his, so until she works things out, he will wait for her.

Garrus says he doesn't want to be a part of a "stupid love triangle," haha.

I'm not sure what Jacob's line is, but he does have a choice word or two for the other LIs if you choose to dump him. Garrus concedes the point amicably if you dump him, and Thane says that Shepard has already lost so much in her life and that he understands, but will continue to carry her in his heart.

While I was expecting a confrontation I'm kinda glad there wasn't one, so I hope there won't be one should you have a Shep who moved on. Especially with the Virmire Survivor. It just doesn't make sense.

And as far as Kaidan goes, I woldn't want him subjected to something so silly. A lot of fangirls want it just out of spite.
