But back to Kaidan, he did spend his teen years away from his family. Essentially, he left home as a child and came back as an adult. His family probably didn't understand him though they probably tried to. The picture I get is a very lonely, depressed older teen.

Yeah, I can totally see why he dropped of the grid in between BAaT and his 'return' to the Alliance. Also why he probably doesn't want to talk about that period much. Having killed someone and being different in a disturbing way (or that is probably what most humans thought at that point anyway). Not an easy background. But he is pretty good in self reflection, I think. Probably got him through. That, or I'm projecting and filling in too many blanks here

Hmm, that could be a reason. We know they had a falling-out, then they patched things up.

Got the impression that he didn't know what he wanted to do with his life, biotics were maligned, the Alliance was offering incentives (and a relatively 'normal' or at least more stable life) to biotics, and he wanted to connect with his father ("it made him proud... after a while.")  ... plus it offered the chance to explore space in a classically romantic fashion, deny it though he may.

I think Kaidan said something like, "I came back on my own terms because I wanted to serve."



I get the impression that he had a turning point after he dropped off of the radar after BAaT. Perhaps he had counseling. Perhaps he engaged in a little bit of revelry and running away from home. Whatever it was, I don't think it was a lovely vacation...

Of all the ME1 squadmates I think he (and Liara) would be the most tolerant of Legion.  He (and Liara) are the most open minded characters from ME1.

If anything, Ash will shoot Legion on siight. I expect any survior of Edan-prime to hate the Geth with a passion (remember Jacob and his reaction to Legion, just picture that with Ash, but worse)

I think Kaidan might go WTF and might scream, but I can't see Kaidan shooting Legion if it's with Shepard. That would be WAY OOC.

@ Night... Just saw the next chapter there to reas...:-) That makes me happy ...:-)
@ Fort... I read and caught up with Parallax ...It was very entertaining (read it in aff ;-))

how did I create my femshep... The first time took me hours, before I was satisfied with her. I wanted to use a bun, but that looked ...Meh... So I used the short bob or the little longer bob... I loved the short bob in ME1, but I didn´t like in ME2 so much... Anyway my femsheps all look alike, besides one... And I loved my scars... A pity they were gone in ME2

Oh, I saw Kaidan´s scar between lip and chin first time he talked to my femshep.

edit: Arrgh, I need a coffee to wake up... stupid mistakes

I shot at Legion alot in his mission by accident, but really that's how I could see Kaidan act. He uses his words more then his gun or biotics.
