Actually it is easy to mod the 360 version  as well... there is a whole thread dedicated to it here.  You are not even modding the 360 itself... only the save file (so you are not breaking any xbox rules or anything).

I have ME1 for the Xbox and prefer it there as well.  As you say -- more modding with the PC but I like my xbox best for the ME games.  Prefer my PC for DA:O though....

I've played some of ME1 on the console, and ME1/ME2 on the PC. I prefer the PC, but not because I can mod it. I am more comfortable with shooters using mouse and keyboard, but I've been a PC gamer for 20+ years. I am a bit biased.

It's not the console users that messed up ME2: it's the devs wanting to get the big sales from the GOW/CoD people. Unfortunately, the game wasn't shooter enough for the shooter crowd and now it's not rpg enough for the rpg crowd.

True, they've had loyal followers since Jade Empire.  I can see trying to branch out, and going between ME1 and ME2 there's a world of difference in game play, but storyline has always been what's attracted me to their games.

Have they tried a sequel before?

A lot of people definitely fell for hype too. Putting the game on unbelievable standards, no matter how good the last game was. ME2 is a great game, better than a lot of others you can pick up if you have some $$$ to spend.

For me personally, the only thing that really drew me to Mass Effect was the roleplaying aspect - not so much the "+2% Shotgun damage," but rather the fact that you can roleplay Shepard. She can save feros, concentrate on Sovereign, and save the Rachni Queen if she wants to. Given that that it is retained in ME2, I still enjoyed the game. I understand those who criticize ME2 for the lack of the other rpg elements however, that is a fair point.

I play on the console also...My computer is old so I wouldn't be able to play on my pc. If I could I would probably have bought both games for my pc, just to see the difference with the lighting and to be able to take screenies. I do wonder why they blame every problem with ME2 on console users. Makes no sense and hurts my feelings

Thanks I have to look into this, though I'm as broke as a joke atm. Also, I'm borrowing someone's xbox because I totally got rrod on mine.

I think when it comes down to it, its about personal preferences/level of comfort. I've been a PC gamer for about 15 years but my very first games were on an Atari 800 (on which you could also write/run programs in Basic. Woo hoo!)   I tend to move between console and PC pretty fluidly. Some games I like better on the Xbox (like ME although they are fine on the PC which is what my husband uses) and some I like best on the PC.  But I like Kaidan anywhere...     See?  I got back on topic? !

Baldur's Gate and BG: Shadows of Amn.  RPGs. Intended as a trilogy but they ended up with two full games and a couple of expansions.

Nah, someone made accounts for some character's from the games (Kaidan, Leliana and Sten I know for sure). Kaidan popped up in here a while ago. They always use different colored text too.
