Plus, I've never had the alibity to do portraits. No character I draw is resembling it's original (if it happens to have one). If you look onto my work, everything is so... Homogenous?

Must thank you once again, because I decided I'll do it. I can cram multiple characters on one picture by drawing them in small groups (2, 3 and then paste them together). I think I can draw about 10-15 of them...

Interesting. Haven't played ME1 in a long time and just got the Cipher, the way Shiala looks at you after makes me wonder if she... "saw" something else. Something besides just that vision.

Or it could just be absolute confusion at seeing that whole scenario play out in her head again

that look she gives you is strange. i thought maybe it might have been that the vision that she saw in sarens head might had been more complete because the beacon didn't explode or fry on him like it did on shep, and therefore seeing shep's would've confused her because it was slightly different.

it may also be that seeing the vision in an undoctinated state would've given it a different set of feelings and experiences.
to be back on topic, i love how Kaidan shows immediate concern for you after that.

5) What do you think his commendations were before being assigned to the Normandy? Hard to say since we don't know what the Alliance gives medals for. Only one we can rule out is the Star of Terra.



6) In spite of his reservations with Shepard, do you think he's a reasonably outgoing guy with others? Yes. Or he and Joker wouldn't get along.



7) What do you think happened between him and Joker after the Normandy SR-1's destruction? A little bit of tension, a lot of blame. General falling out.

=> I'm not sure about that one.  I'm gonna go ahead and say, no, he's not. I say, he's got a sister.

=> seeing he has a thing for Shep, definitely a cat person. Cats are said to be stubborn and have a lot of pride. I picture Kaidan being an admirer of such characteristics. So, yeah, cat person.

=> hm, in a friendship kind of way? no! in the love kind of way? yes! he even mentioned that he was never that kinda a guy that "just did it" xD 

4) Do you think he kept in contact or has met anyone from BAaT after its closure?
=> no! I think he closed that chapter for good.

5) What do you think his commendations were before being assigned to the Normandy?
=> that's a tough one. I will have to get back to it. Need some time to think about that one.

6) In spite of his reservations with Shepard, do you think he's a reasonably outgoing guy with others?
=> not anymore. I think, BAaT has changed him a lot. I do believe, he needs a certain level of comfort around others to be outgoing, see the scene on Citadel with Ash and Shep.

=> he felt guilty. Although I read it in a lot of fanfiction that he blames Joker, I don't see him as that kind of guy. I do believe, he blames himself a lot. He wouldn't put the blame on Joker, ever! 

8) Do you think his current assignments are coming from Admiral/Councilor Anderson?
=> yes! 

9) Football (Soccer) fan?
=> to be honest? no idea

10) Do you think the vuvuzela would set off his migraines?
=> not really set off migraines, but it would ake him as aggressive as it makes me. I mean, I even mute my TV when I watch a game because the sound just drives me friggin crazy.

11) Do you think his next reunion with Shepard will start with tension or relief?
=> relief to see her again and that she is okay, tension due to what happened on Horizon and after the email. They REALLY need to talk.

12) What role do you think he'll play in ME3?
=> hopefully the role of a returning squadmate.

13) Do you think he's a career Alliance military man, sticking with it until retirement?
=> I think he was at the beginning but I do believe, that after everything that happened in ME1 and seeing the events in ME2 plus the Council not doing anything and denying everything, he would save the galaxy at whatever cost because like he said in ME1, he wants to do something good and no good can be done while sitting around waiting.

14) Do you think he'd have whatever the future version of a sweet car is?
=> no!

=>  no.

I'm going to answer my own questions. Never did like it when people asked a million questions and then ran off without answering them in return.

1) Do you think he's an only child?
     One thing it's so common to see in stories is that everyone seems to be an only child. I even have the tendency to assume a character is an only child and have to go a bit out of my way to make me believe otherwise. So I do think Kaidan has siblings, but I suspect older siblings because something about the eezo exposure on his mother makes me think it would render her sterile after she gave birth. And I specifically feel Kaidan grew up with sisters. He has that very respectful quality that comes with a boy who had to suffer the training of his sisters.

2) Dog or cat person?
     Cat person. Dogs bark. But I bet his family had dogs growing up.

3) Do you think he was as reserved and careful before BAaT?
     I think if we met Kaidan as a child, he'd come across as a completely different person from what he eventually became. BAaT changed his entire life.

4) Do you think he kept in contact or has met anyone from BAaT after its closure?
     Met them, I'm sure. As he said, biotics do not go unnoticed in the Alliance. I'm sure others joined the military.

5) What do you think his commendations were before being assigned to the Normandy?
     I think Kaidan was a very strong leader before meeting Shepard. Disciplined, intelligent, knew how to get the job done. Whatever assignment the Alliance gave him, he probably excelled.

6) In spite of his reservations with Shepard, do you think he's a reasonably outgoing guy with others?
     I do, actually. He seems open with his discussion with Joker at the beginning of ME1, seems to take conversations with Ashley with ease, mentions his friends in his email with Shepard. He's reserved, but not shy.

7) What do you think happened between him and Joker after the Normandy SR-1's destruction?
     Falling out that probably wouldn't be repaired as easily as his relationship with Shepard. But the fact that Shepard holds no ill will to Joker would go a long way.

8) Do you think his current assignments are coming from Admiral/Councilor Anderson?
     Yep. Alliance version of a Spectre.

9) Football (Soccer) fan?
     Yes. See later question.

10) Do you think the vuvuzela would set off his migraines?
     I think he's trained so well in his biotics, he could actually use them to crush a wide range of vuvuzelas around him while leaving the fans unscathed.

11) Do you think his next reunion with Shepard will start with tension or relief?
     I imagine the answer would be "both" for most people. But there's always that very initial reaction. His last reunion started with relief (the hug) followed by tension. I suspect the next reunion follows the same path.

12) What role do you think he'll play in ME3?
     So many squadmates, so little room. Unless they upped the number of squadmates Shepard could bring on a mission, the current restrictions to two squadmates per mission means the 15 or so squadmates you could potentially have running around means you're going to neglect quite a few of them if you want to spend time with another. I think Kaidan's role will be as support, but in a much greater capacity than what we saw in ME2. I'm starting to think that various squadmates become Shepard's liasons to needed allies. Kaidan is the liason she needs for the Alliance.

13) Do you think he's a career Alliance military man, sticking with it until retirement?
     No. I think Kaidan will be forced into politics whether he wants to or not. He's pretty savvy about it.

14) Do you think he'd have whatever the future version of a sweet car is?
     He's a tech by choice and a biotic by circumstance. Of course he'd have a sweet shuttle that he likes to fiddle with on the weekends. Probably more of a classic than a modern one, though.

15) Do you think he has his favorite childhood stuffed animal hidden away somewhere still?
     Yes. Imagine Leiliana sing-songing "Softie..."

16) Do you think any biotic powers transfer to the children in some way? (Okay, not really Kaidan-specific, but I always imagined he'd be headed for fatherhood... oh wait, maybe I should have asked...)
     They might not be biotics themselves, but the eezo exposure altered the parents in a fundamental way that allowed for their nervous system to develop eezo nodes throughout their body. There's a comment about how Shepard could have developed her own biotic abilities, and I believe a writer mentioned the idea of secondary eezo exposure. I can see this happening with biotic children: born with biotic potential that only develops if they are exposed to eezo again during childhood.

17) Kaidan: destined for fatherhood?
     The sad thing is that I don't think Shepard is destined for motherhood. Kaidan would be a great father, but won't have the opportunity. I'm probably basing this from personal experience, though.

18) Do you think that, time permitting, he still calls his mother every Sunday? (I bet he would have written to his mother after being revived from the dead.)
     Yes. Like Mordin with his nephew, Kaidan likes to maintain that connection to family to remind him what he's fighting for.

     He was greatly annoyed he couldn't get a proper feed of the World Cup.

     I think he'd be unsuccessfully trying to hide the fact he's asleep. But I think he'd like a night listening to a Jazz band because Jazzy!Kaidan!
