A lot of what I want to learn about Kaidan is his service before the events of Mass Effect 1. From the way they talk to each other, Kaidan and Joker seem to have known each other for a decent amount. And it's true that Anderson may have hand picked the people on his ship. And Chakwas says that Kaidan is quite decorated. I mostly imagine him to have led soldiers against threats like pirates and slavers. Can't be Geth since they only showed up on Eden Prime.

I think the only thing you can alter about an existing character is appearance and class. The decisions made will stay the same. You can change it if you want to use the gibbed save editor (easier to do if you have ME on the PC, but possible on the Xbox 360, too).

I wonder about the crew interaction at the start of ME, as I get the impression that Shepard is relatively new to the mix, but the other crew has had time to get to know each other slightly. But they're only on their shakedown mission. So either most of the crew knew their Normandy assignment for awhile before the shakedown except for Shepard. Or, being the military, there was a lot of overlap in people's assignments. Kaidan and Joker serving together on one ship, then being assigned to different ships until crossing paths again on the Normandy.

I only wanna change the looks, will look into gibbed save editor. was trying to find out what the code for my existing character is so that i dont have to re-create her face all over again.....but i can't find anything anywhere -.-

Here's another thing - I want to learn about Kaidan's family. I don't expect any daddy issues as was present in several other squad mates, but getting to know about his family would go along way towards a "friendship" path with Kaidan. It was easier to say that non-romance Shepards were friends with Ashley in part because you she gave you a pretty good look at her family and how that had affected her.

since I just played that a few mins ago...Kaidan says that his father retired to outside of Vancouver and his family had a little house there. So i don't think there are any daddy issues.

i dunno. the way kaidan says that his father was proud when he enlisted "...eventually" made me think he and his father don't get along. just the way he delivered that line.

I think he and his dad don't know each other too well. There's some kind of rift there and I get the impression of a typical son that just wants to get his father's acceptance and fights tooth and nail just to try to make his unappeasable father approve of what he's done. 

So, Kaidan might have normal daddy issues as opposed to the other characters' massive daddy issues.

i thought the brief mention of kaidan's father was to get a glimpse into his life. i didn't take it as lingering familial issues. otherwise why mention his dad was proud eventually. maybe they went through a rough patch during his teenage years when he discovered his biotics. i'm not suggesting they're close but i have a feeling he moved on from any dissension that occurred during that time.

Seriously, though, I don't want to hear about Rahna.  We heard enough about her in the first game.  I want to hear about some other part of Kaidan's life, whether that's his service with the Alliance, his family, or even what he did with himself during those "dark years" between BAaT and joining the Alliance.

i am wearing these, too. i just take them off to write angsty fanfic once in a while.

and w00t! i discovered the secret of my me1 import. she has EYELASHES! they pluck out the eyelashes if i mod her at all. no wonder she looked so weird when i imported and changed her up. if i do nothing, she still has those mega lashes - the steel ones that occasionally punch through her brows....
