Sage, I'd like option 4 - they meet up while they are both on an anti-Cerberus mission.

Good Morning everyone and hello to those that came out of the lurking corner *hands coffee, tea and cookies*

As for ME3: Personally, I don't want Shep to go straight back to the Alliance. My MainShep killed the council in ME1 and after that whole speech from Anderson, I don't really see why she would go back there just like this? She managed to do well without the Alliance. I kinda want her to be the middle's man - errm woman - between Cerberus and the Alliance. Everyone has just used her as a tool so far. The Alliance, Cerberus...it's time they do something for her. So if she goes back to the Alliance in ME3, one important for me would be that she not only got at least the same rank as Kaidan, but actually a higher rank but I don't see the latter happening since she will always be Commander Shepard.

It is not entirely true that she takes TIM's word for granted that the Alliance isn't doing anything about the missing colonists. I mean, for one thing, on the shuttle ride to Freedom's progress Jacob and Amanda tell
her that they never found anything on the other colonies before because
officials had gotten there before them. Officials to me can only be the
Alliance, no? But when Shep goes to speak with Anderson, he tells her that those colonists moved to the terminus system to get away from the Alliance, hence no help for them. Then again, why is Kaidan on Horizon? This all so makes no sense. For Shep this means, that TIM is lying to her and that the Alliance doesn't trust her at all to give her any information. So why just go back to them in ME3? So they can use her again? 

And yes, my Shep blew up the Collector's base as well. I think, they already gathered a lot of information about the collectors while being on the base and I don't think Cerberus would EVER be able to hold that base, IF it was ever attacked by Reapers or other Collectors. On the long run, after the entire Reaper conflict is over, Cerberus would use it to control the Omega 4 relay, so once again no gain for the Alliance or other species and I don't want my Shep to be the one to put Cerberus in such a strong position. After all, securing humanity's survival and progress does NOT mean to lose what makes you human and Cerberus to me has never shown any humanity at all.....see all those tests and experiments they did.

I have a hard time deciding if they'll show her face or not. By her popularity, I'd say no. Just show a male quarian's face since they seem pretty different but have a basic resemblance.

Either way most people will throw a hissy fit if they did.

Actually I´ve nothing against going back to the Alliance... It just depends on the way, how they`re going to do it... Shepard was the whole playthrough in ME2 loyal to the Alliance and mailed them all kind of secret informations... So I guess, she would want to go back to Alliance...
As far as I remember they send Kaidan to Horizon, because of  a warning from someone... I don´t remember the whole thing... And I really think that TIM manipulated Shepard by mentioning Kaidan, being there... I think Anderson is on Shepards side, but can´t fully help her, because she´s with Cerberus...
I blew up the collector base, too. Like you wrote, I think as well as you do, that they gathered a lot of information and Cerberus is not to trust...
