One thing I find interesting about Jacob is that everyone says that he has his stuff together and is like Kaidan.
I find the opposite to be true. He joined Cerberus because he agrees with their current direction. He left the Alliance because it had changed. He'll leave Cerberus if they change directions.
Yeah, he's got convictions, but he changes sides way too much. I think he's a bit naive and confused about the general direction of his life. IMO, Jacob desperately needs a mentor.
This doesn't mean I hate the guy at all. It simply means that I find it very hard to have him as a believable romance.
Excellent points Fort...Kaidan sounds much more mature or at least that's how I took it..
People might be upset by this proposition (not the Kaidan fans), but I think Kaidan would do very well for a positve, directional influence to Jacob. Or maybe Shepard can fill this position. They're both older than Jacob and have experienced more than him. Jacob is kind of the Ash of the group. He's been through a lot, but still has a bit to learn.
It's probably why Jacob and Miranda didn't work out. She's too experienced for him.
