Ugh. A thread on Garrus, I like the guy, but not enough to put that effort forth. Don't worry. I'm sure my comments will generally revolve around Kaidan.

Well consider this from Garrus's point of view, your Commander is teamed up with Cerberus, you are following her into hell, but also you are a turian and she's human....you don't know how to comfort her that much.
True. Garrus's romance (from what I've watched on YouTube since my Shepard can't help but stay true to Kaidan) is akward all the way around, although he is trying to be sweet.

They'll probably be the same with even the same lines with a word or two altered. I expect the same amount of effort put into them in ME3 that was shown in ME2. (which is next to none)
It was interesting that the dialogue for the two was mostly cut and paste in Horizon. But their limited involvement in this episode is by design. There was an interview with a dev that discussed the overall storyarc and that they can't play a large role in ME2 in order to keep them safe for ME3. But I think that their reactions would likely be similar since they are both dedicated Alliance soldiers and feel hurt and betrayed by Shepard's apparent lack of concern and alliance with Cerberus.
They are supposed to have a larger role in ME3 in order to complete that romance storyarc.
The hard feelings from Horizon I think are also by design to tempt Shepard to find comfort elsewhere. They said in the interview that this would have ramifications in 3--and potentially keep the character from ending up with the ME1 LI.
And don't forget that although their dialogue is pretty much the same on Horizon (although I would have preferred being called a goddess rather than legend by Kaidan

), their letters are quite a bit different--they better show the difference in their personalities. I think that Kaidan's letter was quite in character. I can hear his voice reading the words when I read it. I do love that letter.
