Thank you Jho, I needed to clear the horrifying images of Shep / Garrus out of my mind.

It wouldn't have been so bad if there were only a couple of romance options for Shepard in ME2, but it seemed like everyone on the frigging ship wanted to jump into bed with her, even Garrus omg.  I felt like my brother was hitting on me with the Garrus romance option.

I would have like to been able to have more friendship conversations that didn't all resolve to romance in ME2.

Poor, poor Garrus :crying:

I adore Garrus, just not as a LI.

So you... you break their hearts first? :crying:

Awwwww *hugs Jake* there, there sweetie, only the bad men

But, but.. you said I was a bad boy, you'd never break my heart.... would you? :(

Nope *crosses heart*

Hold on, you're manipulating me now aren't you? *gives stern look*

About badboys:

I've fallen for two "badboys". The funny thing that I find out is that they are secretly very weak men.

*coughs politely* Well 'duh' - if they were strong, they would have the balls to be willing to follow the rules without feeling like they have to prove something.

Hell, what's the point of rebelling if you end up setting up an equally bad system of social rules? If you're constantly having to show how much of a bad boy you are, then the mini-group you've set up isn't worth it.  If you can't act stupid and silly and then be sensible and responsible without fear of losing 'cred', they really don't have anything to be bragging about...

:? *gets off his high horse*

Yeah, Garrus is a good guy and all that, but I have to admit that I just don't understand why so many people wanted him as a romance option. I'm just too shallow to see past the mandibles into his inner beauty!

I really do love Garrus as a character and his voice is lovely...but he's really my Shepard's buddy. Which is why I was so annoyed his dialogue was cut in half if you didn't romance him.

I would have loved for Garrus to really be portrayed as Shep's confidant in ME2.  It made no sense to me why my FemShep would have mission debriefings and talk strategy with Miranda, Jacob and Mordin, but not Garrus.

Phrew, glad we finally got past that Harbinger Kaidan quoting. That's going to give me nightmare.

Kaidan: Shepard! I'm back. I'm sorry for everything I said on Horizon and I love you. Let me make it up to you by making love to until are bodies are worn from exhaustion.

Shepard: Oh Kaidan. I knew you'd come back to me.

Kaidan: ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

Shepard: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

On other notes, I would have to say abs are the sexiest part of a man. Not Jacob abs. They look like the bottom side of an egg carton. Kaidan abs. Well defined, but each doesn't have it's own zipcode. Perfect. Just like him.

This is really odd and I'm so sorry if anyone thinks it's crass but all I could think of was a program I watched about about big cats and how they have a bone in their male parts called a baculum, I know it's really really strange but the thought of sex with Garrus always made me think of this.

YES. This is so, so, so true. Finally someone she trusts to watch her back and no extra dialogue?! We don't even get to ask him about "the good old days" like with Joker, besides what happens to come up in conversation, do we? Excuse me if I'm misremembering, in my current game, he's been in the middle of calibrations for ages now. <_<

Isn't there really only one more romance conversation than if you hadn't persued one at all? Then the romance scene. So yeah, while I would have loved to hear Garrus describe popping his heat sink, it wasn't enough of a temptation to romance him for it.

Both Garrus and Thane sound surprised the moment you imply attraction, as if they'd never had even considered you that way if you hadn't brought it up first. Which is fine, 'cause then I never bring it up and we're all buddies and we're going to go have drinks on the Citadel and tell sniper stories.

Except that one playthrough where I went the Thane route ('cause I'm a sucker and dying sexy alien gets me) and my actual boyfriend had to hear me lament about cheating on my game boyfriend, which confused the actual boyfriend because the last rant about it that he heard was how I thought my game boyfriend had just dumped me on Horizon. 'Cause it's all about Kaidan in the end.

I just confused myself.

THIS ! THIS! THIS!

Garrus, Tali, Joker, and Chakwas would have been the only people I would have really trusted, at least at first.

And even Garrus' love interest plot was kinda, "eh."  I love the dude.  I thought he had some great lines. "What? I didn't shoot him."  But he seems like a big brother, buddy type.  Not a bow chica bow wow.

Yeah, I agree that Garrus is a good guy, but he just never interested me as a Love interest. Plus, with the letter that Dr Michele wrote about his passion it made me think she might have a crush on him. I do see his inner beauty, but with this whole freaking Ruthless style he has got me mad with him. I taught him better than what was he was doing in the game. It made me sick at what type of character Garrus had become well that what happens when you want revenge. It does take over your life to the point your are obsessed with it.

The best story characters, that I could see that described this type of character is Batman, Sasuke from the manga called Naruto, and The Punisher.

Dr Michel totally wants Garrus. I support Michel/Garrus and Kaidan/Shep double dates for ME3!
