LOL! I know! I actually didn't notice until I went back to replay near the end of ME1 to import a new ME2 playthrough, and at the end when Saren talks about being indoctrinated I noticed his eyes and was like, "...where have I seen those before? OH SNAP." Then went to check a pic of TIM just to make sure I wasn't losing it and was glad to see I wasn't! xDsagequeen wrote...

Also on a totally unrelated note, has anyone else noticed that Illusive Man and Saren have the same eyes? o_o
NO. omg, you're RIGHT! all the more fuel for my current pet theory - TIMMY is a rogue reaper! or a rogue someone who make the original reapers....
Totally behind you on the rogue Reaper thing, or if not that... definitely indoctrinated by one.

i feel like i've been unable to keep up with the thread as quickly as it moves. tis crazy.
@ jade: yw. i'm glad you can find it now. that scene always makes me smile.
okay, question for you all:
If Kaidan had been Shepard's superior officer and Shepard the XO (sort of like Captain Anderson squiring Nihilus around, yet the two working on the same mission), would he have still make overtures to her in ME1? yes? no? only if she broadly hinted first? or maybe no sage, this is a silly question because it's more fun when kaidan serves under shepard?

i have this elaborate theory about the reapers and how this should all tie into a post ME3 follow up game a hundred years later. i was explaining to the hubby - he poked a million holes in it. i am now trying to duct tape said holes in my head.
huh. that came out wrong...

I think if the roles were reversed and Kaidan was the higher ranking officer, I don't think he would have acted on his feelings. the way the situation is normally, both Kaidan and Shep are uncomfortable enough with it and they originally vowed not to persue it till after the mission. I think if Kaidan was the commanding officer and Shep was his subordinate, he would keep his feelings to himself until at least the mission was finished. after that, who knows?

@ Sapphy & Sage, thanks I appreciate your support, it means a lot!!!
@ Ruby, she only cooperates as long as I let her write what she wants too, so usually I have two things being written at the same time- as a gift to getting the begining chapter done she gave me a two page start on a chapter in the future. It's just because Walls is in the ME2 stage and she doesn't like the lack of Kaidan when I am writing about the Normandy 2
@ Sage ref the Subordinate question. I don't think he would have been able to help but let her know. One the other hand if he didn't I don't think she would have. In the begining of ME she doesn't become interested until he shows his interest first. So I think if he didn't, she wouldn't have thougth about it. IMHO of course.
Well nap time ... back to work tonight and thank god the holiday is over, although we probably have vacationers all week.
Night is Falling, be back online approx 2130 PST ... need anything you can always PM me.. remember I love to talk (ya think)
see you in a while....
Peace

I agree. As femShep discusses with Ash, she's (Ash) is more heart and Kaidan is more...logical. I think that Kaidan is naturally reserved and rule-following, but that was only reinforced and Jump Zero with what happened when he did let loose due to his emotions.
I think that with Shep being the superior officer, perhaps a little of the pressure is off of him since its really more her responsibility than his (from a miliary standpoint) to keep things strictly professional. If it were reversed, Kaidan would be even stricter with himself. femShep (Kimbri in my case) has a difficult enough time reading him the way it is. If he was even more oblique in his comments I don't think it would be caught--which would be his design.

I think he would either make an effort to not say anything (although, being Kaidan, he might still trip up) or be flat up honest with her and ask if she wanted a transfer. I think he'd be very stuck if she started flirting with him.
Although he is a lot of fun as a subordinate.

I agree with Jade. I think Kaidan would have kept his feelings to himself. If he was hesitant as the subordinate, I think he would have been even more hesitant as the superior.

I guess that's the advantage of playing on the computer. I tried ME on the computer. I think it gave my computer seizures. LOL. So I went out and bought an Xbox 360 specifically to play this series. LOL.
Awesome shot. Kaidan looks so...passionate.
