They could have had a flashback to the night before Ilos.  Even just the makeout session, considering they were shying away from the pixel nudity.  Even in still form, like with the Normandy Crash Site.  I guess not showing anything was an attempt at letting Shepard's thoughts be determined by the player, though.

I know that the point of the Lilith liquification was to put a face we knew on the process provided we got there in time to save Kelly, but we still could have saved some of the abducted colonists.  The Normandy crew at least were aware that the mission was dangerous - I feel like I came back empty-handed.  *grumblecomplain*

Okay.  I can see that.  And as she states in ME1, she can't always read him well.  We've all watched that scene several times and dissected it to the millionth degree.  She hasn't had that luxury.
But I still think that normal people would have shown more relief and joy over even just a friend still being alive and not captured by the Collectors at that point--with or without the romance element being involved.
I think the big hug he gives her and the intro should have been a clue to how she should have reacted.  Ah well.

OF COURSE we all know that.  Goodness, its written all over that message how much he cares.  But as I said earlier Shepard can be dense at times.  So some femSheps may not stay true because of what he says at the end--not what is written between every line.  (None of us here would think that, however )

I completely agree!  I know that they caught some flack over the scene in ME1.  Side nudity without the breast?  meh.  I think the scenes in Dragon Age are much more explicit, even if they all apparently have sex with their underwear still on.
I like your idea--its a special benefit for the characters that stayed faithful to their one true love through all 3 games.  The rest get something like in ME2.

Don't forget that they have Dragon Age 2 coming out in February and The Old Republic coming out first quarter next year.  Unfortunately, I doubt it has to do with Mass Effect 3.

But if you chose to stay true to your ME1 LI, its not hard to know what Shep is thinking of.  Couldn't they throw us a bone?  *Sigh*

While I agree and I'm not about to do such a thing, I'm actually glad they made it an option though. It is about time we at least get the equal options in games, no?

And I agree they made the letter potentially ambiguous on purpose. So you could feel it was over and turn to someone else for comfort w/o being a total jackass, or find hope in it to stay faithful. *shrugs*

i'm so glad. i do too. perhaps i'm just ....gutter minded, but i was like if they've got survelliance cams EVERYWHERE then how... what... what about those days when... anyhow 

does make one wonder about the me2 LIs. if i was tempted to leave kaidan, and kyrie wasn't, just the sheer paranoia of being watched alone... *shudder*

and My *crush* on my shep is more a girl-crush, don't get me wrong. Like you, adkodo, i just think *squee!* i wanna be like her! i aspire to be that unflappable. and to have funny things to say when people are crazy.
