@Jade - It looks like Revan is stripping him....but he should ALREADY be naked! >D Ah...Carth...

Yeah.  The in-the-midst-of-disrobing is the point.  I loved that he had chest hair.  Too much obsession with absolutely smooth male chests lately (aka any CW show like Smallville)

GAH. Yes. I want a DAge mod that adds some hair to poor Alistair. Just a little. I don't want my lady characters to date a Wookiee.

If 'fight like a Spartan' means that I can create a male character or have male companion that reminds me just slightly of this... where do I preorder??

I remember the first time I heard Kaidan talk, I was like, "*sqeeeeee* Cartholicious voice!  He'd better be romanceable or there will be rage.  RAGE!"

THIS! I first heard him in a tiny gameplay video, where Shepard punched Manuel and Kaidan said "That might've been a little extreme, commander." I listened to that part over and over and over and OVER before it finally sunk in that Carth's voice was coming out of that handsome soldier.

I know the topic of music appropriate for Kaidan/Shepard comes up a lot around here, but... I'll bring it up again! :P

I have a particular issue with music in that if it has lyrics, I have an incredibly difficult time actually deciphering what the lyrics are. The vocals are more an additional instrument adding to the melody. So every time someone mentions a song they think reminds them of Kaidan/Shepard, I can't really hear it.

So I was wondering.... 1) What kind of music do you feel captures the Kaidan/Shepard romance regardless of the lyrics, just from melody alone? 2) If you do like a particular song, do you think you could direct me to the lyrics as well as the song?

Let the hate and denial ensue!

On Carth/Kaidan voice, it'd be nice for the people who hate Kaidan solely on the fact him and Carth have the same voice could see the difference. They're two completely different characters. Their voice is, undoubtedly the same.. yet the same time they're different and used differently. :pinched:
Kaidan stays in the deeper voice range, Carth is a lot more lighthearted sounding.

Blaaah.

Mm, precisely! They are the same actor, yet the voices are markedly different. I love it.

hehe...actually mildly excited about the DA2 info we have so far. Feels a bit like DA is getting some ME love....could be mistaken but starting over with a new char in a new story that way appeals more to me then continuing a story that just had way too many doom and gloom endings. Always wondered how they would tie that up into a new story and it seems they're not. References/cameos at the most, no doubt. And the Morrigan stuff most likely.

Now..if DA is getting a ME stamp with a Shepard like lead....can I haz a Kaidan inspired LI then? :D Ofcourse it's all just speculation and stuff....but still, Shepard/Hawk -  Kaidan/smexy dark haired medieval LI ...hehe

Hmm. A Kaidan-like LI would make me feel better, for sure.

I want a ninja character. :(

And HOODS. HOODS AND CLOAKS.
Not hoods like the... things we got, but REAL hoods. Like Assassin's Creed hoods and cloaks, completely hiding your face and looking awesome.

Greetings Kaidanphiles. I'm not a poster on this thread, though I will say that I like the Kaidan character for the most part. I have a question for you die-hard fans, which may have been answered earlier in the thread, but I'd like your input anyway. In other threads it has been discussed that Kaidan should be expanded so that he is available as a love interest for male Shepards. Do you all agree that this is an acceptable expansion of the character, or would a bisexual Kaidan somehow ruin the character for you?

@Ruby - Yea....it's that I made a deal with my mom when i moved back and she's not honoring her end about not getting pissed about me being on the computer (since that is my job essentially)...

@Jho - I never really played DA before...I need to buy it soon....

@Sianosea - I don't think a bisexual Kaidan would ruin the character as long as he had the same traits. Essentially Kaidan's attitude and personality is what draws people to him. And a sexy voice and ass.

Totally ruins it. There's a reason that was cut from the final version, despite the sound files remaining in the ME1 folders. To alter him in such a way is entirely against the character as we know him. So such an alteration would be totally unacceptable in my eyes.

I would've been open to a bi Kaidan if that had been established in ME1. For me, it's just too late in the game (no pun intended) to introduce that aspect in an established character.

If he'd been bi to begin with, I wouldn't have liked him. I hate sharing. *fangirl pouty-face*

Bisexual Kaidan wouldn't bother me. He was intended to be one in the beginning anyway from those sound files.

Keep him the same and all is good.

@Tatooine... Yeah that'd be cool. Or something that focuses more on stealth and death from behind. I'd probably be better off just sticking to assassin's creed for that though. :D

You share him with US, Tat.  Who cares if the "us" includes men?

I'm gonna go with it's a bit too late now to change that.  Had he been one from the first, like Skye in JE, no problem.  But to change it now for him or Ashley would just be wrong.

I have no issue with bisexual characters, but sometimes it seems like lazy (and/or cautious) writing to make a character and just toggle some settings to make them available to both genders.

I care. It'd just be weird for me. See, I hate discussions like this because I always end up in the minority. *sigh*

You can dislike it, Tat.  Your reason just seems odd. ;)  I meant no offense.

I know. It's less weird to have to share with a bunch of girls, though I
have been known to go into fits of fangirl rage/jealousy... rarely,
though. And if I do, I generally keep it quiet. I was also trying to give a reason without going into moral and religious reasons, because I reeeeeeeeeally don't want to go that route. People generally get mad at me when I do, so I try to stay quiet and sit in a corner.

Heh, It's all right.

Frankly, I wouldn't notice either way.  I had no clue Skye was bi until I went on the forums.  I don't play as a man.  Ever.  Even in Guild Wars, all my avatars are women except my storage mules.
