I love Dragon Age.  I've played through it 3 times and my husband 4 times.
I just haven't seen much of the people that usually say they do online as much today.

I enjoyed DA:O, it just seems every time Awakenings comes up on the forums it's in a derogatory manner. SOoo...seriously I've completely brain farted and cannot remember for the life of me how to type in friggin' pictures on here. Someone help me out please?

I don't know how to put pics up either.

And I think people forget that Awakenings was really just an expansion pack. But the end was kinda like, what to real epilogue? Just text? Huh.

@Chem - I actually don't think Awakenings is that bad. If you play as a hnf who made Alistair king and married him the ending sucks, and if you expect to be able to carry on with the romance from DAO you'll be disappointed. the actual storyline was good, just missed the party banter from DAO though. Banter takes place randomly or at designated spots in the game for each character. I loved Anders and Nathaniel, and Oghren was way better in battle than he was in DAO.
Have you done the next chapter of Penguins yet?

on a random ME2 note ; I had a crazy thought doing Kasumi's mission that Donovan Hock could have been Miranda's father.
Random DA2 note - I'm reserving judgement till I get more info. I like the fact that the playable character will be voiced and have no problem playing as a human cause I normally do anyway.

I totally don't like DA2 being voiced actually. It feels more like I'm playing an interactive movie with someone elses character instead of my own. Especially the dialogue wheel in ME I totally find jarring. You never say what you think you are going to say. And if I choose to play a different kind of character, it still gets the same voice.

Hey Giggles - welcome!  Yeah - it was hard to avoid the go team aspect. Which made me appreciate Jack's snarky remarks about the Cerberus Cheerleader.

Welcome to the thread! 

And yeah, it felt like they were retconning everything we had learned about Cerberus from the first game and the books.  I find it kind of disturbing that they were trying to put a "nice face" on an organization that had done things like Akuze and what they did to Kahoku.

I'd invest. I enjoyed DA:O but, just like ME2, it had its difficult moments.

/edit:  And what at least Sage and I were talking about earlier, was that we like the immersion/story arc of ME better. While the Origin stories are fun, it takes longer to get into the meat of the game.
