Is it just me or do you think that Kaidan could be suffering Survivors Guilt from living through the destruction of the Sr1 and Shep's dying. That could also explain some of the anger on Horizon. Although blowing up on someone for asking about how you are doing is a little much.

Oh yes he says as much in his letter.

I have point of curiosity. Any speculation on Kaidan's ethnic backgroud? I'm sure that our planet has more ethnic/racial mixing after another 150 years (which is good from a genetic standpoint. Ya don't wanna be wading at the shallow end of the gene pool, afterall). But I can't help but wonder.

His parents were in Singapore, but his dad was Alliance and likely was just stationed there. I don't really see much in the way of Asian traits.

Alenko sounds quite Eastern European--perhaps Mediterraean with his olive comlexion.

Perhaps some form of Hispanic with the skin tone, dark hair and lovely brown eyes?

No even once you see Garrus at the elevator, I have heard you still don't have to bring him...I never did that of course, I always go and get him.

I wonder what the ME2 scene on Omega would be like if you hadn't recruited him in ME1.

It's the same, he still recognizes you because he did meet you in the Tower.  However, Jilly says you can't romance him.  (The non-import game assumes recruitment.)

That's interesting that you can't romance Garrus if you didn't have him in ME1, but it makes sense.

He looks a bit Euro-Asian to me if anything. Euro-Asian/Hispanic.

It's not Mass Effect without Kaidan and Garrus at my Shep's back.

I'm not willing to not recruit him "for science."  None of the Garrus fans are.  We're taking Jilly's word for it since none of us can deal with a game without him.

Hello ladies,

it's 37° C here, I can hardly think and feel like I'm going to melt any minute. Last night wasn't much cooler, and I couldn't sleep, so I made this instead:

Pretty much shows how I feel: Lazy as hell. ;)

Oh yeah, and I finally got myself a DA account --> here where I'll be adding some older stuff as well as new pieces. Already did another sketch (featuring Ash, Liara & Tali) which I still ned to color, but my PC is slowly giving up thanks to the heat, so this might have to wait till tonight.

where's femshep's hand headed?  :innocent:

Ha ha, believe me or not - I actually never noticed this. Well, I'm sure you know how to use your imagination... ;)

The name?  Or the ethnicity?

He's from Canada.  Or at least his parents have a house in Vancouver.

What kind of Asian traits are you seeing in him?

(Sorry if the curiosity seems odd. I just like figuring out where traits come from. I love looking at kids and trying to figure out which parent they got their nose from, etc. Too much medical training I guess.)

I mean his genetic traits--from where would they hail (hale?  I hate that I can't spell)

And Australia and Canada are like the US--melting pots

Regardless, his mix of traits have a nice effect, don't they?  Posted Image

Heheh, guess I'm not the only one for whom he's just as essential. ;)

I was actually going to try a game where all I brought with me was Wrex and Tali.

I got bored.

Most definitely.

I think eventually, the last time we discussed this, we picked Lebanese, Brazilian, and/or European Spanish, with a little Japanese thrown in.

You know, I think you're right.  I always was looking at their color--how they have that amber tone in them when the light hits just right.  Never the shape.

from babynames.com
The meaning of the name Kaden is Fighter
The origin of the name Kaden is American
Alternate spellings: Kayden, Kaiden, Kaeden, Kadyn, Khaidyn, Kaidyn
Notes: form of Caden

So thats no help.  LOL

I've never thought he has any far-asian paternity. If it's about a first name, you can live god knows where and still name your child "Pilot Inspektor". I never really cared anyway, as long as he stays the same Kaidan we know and love.

Jade it was not a mistake don't ever be afraid to ask the question, Sia just was telling you the guesses we already made, doesn't mean we were right, and it doesn't mean you were wrong

besides look / you got everyone thinking again

and that is always a good thing!!!!
