I always thought of them going somehwere tropical for a few days where little clothing is required.  Lots of sun (although indirect sun for Kaidan since he gets migraines) and surf.  And backrubs to make the migraines go away which then leads to other things that would erase the migraine due to an endorphin kick.

Yep - that's were my fics are set.  No angst, lots of sun, few clothes.....

I'm going to have to vote for this one.  There was awhile when my husband and I couldn't live together.  And there was just nothing better than meeting at a hotel, ordering Papa Johns, and watching t.v.

I dunno if it's been discussed before, but for the sake of curiosity, how would you all have written the Kaidan reunion in ME2?  Free reign, how would you have fit him (and Ashley, if you want to go there) in?  Besides having him as a squadmate?

I wrote that!  And, as PBS was showing classic movies last night, I've decided they were watching The Philadelphia Story and Bringing Up Baby.  Cause Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn are, well, Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn.  Not remotely Ella's typical movie choice, but I think she secretly loved them.  Cause they're Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn.  (Who me, repetitive?  Lack eloquence and articulation? nah... )

Shep: Cerberus science revived me from the dead.

Shep: Yeah. I'm not happy w it either. I tried every official channel I could get my hands on and the best anyone could do was reinstate my Spectre status. I'm watching my back though.
Kaidan: Um... that's a lot to swallow.
Shep: I know, and I don't expect you to believe me right away. I'll forward all files I can to you. Hopefully that'll be enough evidence. 
Kaidan: I appreciate that. It's been two years... Anderson wants me to... nevermind.
Shep: I know Cerberus is listening. I'll do what I can to get evidence for the Council while I'm working on this Collector business.
Kaidan: I'm glad you understand. When the mission's over, it'll be different.

And there you go. Since they wanted a troubled middle part to the relationship, how about having them have to hide their relationship from everyone yet? How about a long time without contact where Shepard has to feign ignorance about Kaidan to keep him safe?

I mean, imagine the lonely, brooding nights. But nope, instead we got hurbehdurrrhurrrrr Horizon.

@FireEye: From the previews, I was pretty sure the Collector's captured Kaidan, and that's why he wasn't really there. That however, was not the case. And thanks to Shenzi, I rather prefer that version of reality.



For a conspiracy-laden anti-hero story arc, there should've been better ways to set up a Big Misunderstanding for decent LI conflict. He's used as bait, but incapacitated or injured, and the Alliance takes him away again, and Anderson doesn't trust Cerberus and you're back to not knowing where he is? (Of course, then you don't have the cause for break-up for new LI's, so that doesn't work.)



I have no ideas today. Will ponder, however.

If you have dinner with Kelly and let her offer to feed them, you never have to talk to her again after that, and you won't have the romance at the end of the game.  The best of both worlds!

Hi all!  Been busy this weekend, and new True Blood episode in an hour! *dances around like idiot*

Anyhow. =P Been working more on my fanfic, almost ready to post up my first chapter but I'll link everyone to it once it is readable. On the perfect date thing, I definitely think a night in with Kaidan is what Livia (my FemShep) would do as well.

On another note, playing through ME2 again, why does no one EVER ask why TIM has eyes like Saren's? Or why his eyes are just jacked up period? I mean for someone who was supposedly a normal family business guy, before he got involved with Cerberus, I don't see him naturally having those eyes. I mean really - that's the first thing I'd ask if I met him. xD

Mwuahahahaha...my evil plan has come to fruition.  While everyone bathes in the light of their computer monitors, unable to escape it's siren's call,  I will secretly sneak into everyone's house and steal all left shoes.

I never got that dialogue.  In fact, she stops talking to me after the initial intro.
