this was my reasoning also. is a kind friend, will not spread it around, but you know what i mean. 

alright. some updates to the ilos scene of valkyrie - more to make it fitting with where things went later. and i'm off to a bbq. have a nice afternoon, all. i will keep akodo's lovely pic in mind for when the conversation lags. then i will stare off into space with this goofy look on my face and people will wonder what the heck i'm thinking about.

Re: Nicknames

In Kaidan's case, [First Name], seems applicable.  Although he did have that string of titles in ME2...! But... I don't think any of them were particularly fitting as casual conversation name-replacers.

@FireEye: *laughs* No, none of the List were very romantical. [First name] really does work in their situation, with the occasional "ma'am" = "as you wish" type thing. Shepard did the same thing with 'Lieutenant" in the first one, actually. (In my head, anyways. *laughs*)

I could see him picking up on something like "Saviour of the Citadel" in a playful but not serious way.  It wouldn't be entirely personal, though, and would probably have to do with whatever the media was on about that week (and not permanent).

I dunno.  He seems plenty attached to just "Shepard" already, [First Name] would be for a sense of intimacy, and the inflection on "commander" and "ma'am" tend to lend some endearment to the words (well... "ma'am" at least, but I thought he used it on "commander" at least once).

Good morning all. hope all is well

on the subject of pet names, I'm not sure if Kaidan would have a pet name for Shepard. probably calling her by her first name would be the closest that he'd get to a pet name, and unfortunately that will only happen in fanfic.

on the topic of a certain fic written by a phoenix of an urban nature - i'm just going to put a thought out there. what if it's a case of Kaidan "keeping friends close and enemies closer"?
