He's a romantic. I think he would like a little wine at a nice romantic dinner or something.

Perhaps they figure out how to get the nitrates(nitrites?) out of wine in the future. He'd probably risk it for a quiet evening alone with Shepard anyways.

I don't see Kaidan as much of a drinker. He wouldn't drink for fear of losing some of his self control.
He might have half a glass on a romantic dinner with Shep but I don't think he'd have more than that.

The headache causing compound is sulfites actually.  I'm allergic to them.

I have to take benadryl when I drink wine.

Exactly.  I was really annoyed with that.  I mean, I have the only ship in the known universe that can get through the Omega 4 relay and instead of doing something smart, like I don't know, lie to TIMMY until I get back and then fly straight to the Citadel I'm given the options of, "Blow up one of the best resources we have to use against the collectors," or "turn dangerous technology over to a terrorist organization."

I can see logical reasons for keeping the base, but giving it to Cerberus is a horrible, horrible idea.  What's the point of fighting the Reapers at all if humanity just ends up fighting the other races of the galaxy once that threat is taken care of?  Just my opinion, of course, but I'd only keep it to see the outcome in the next game, not on my main Shepard.

And of course, Kaidan would definitely get rid of it.  He is a very careful guy, and there are too many variables involved with having it around.

Also, yes, Alenko would blow up the base. I wouldn't have even given it to the Alliance... even dead Reaper tech indoctrinates people, so its totally not worth it.

My renegade Meli - who is a bit too pro-Cerberus for her own good - keeps it. Of course, she has a touch of megalomania and is destined to follow Saren's path probably to galatic domination.

I'd blow the base up even if I had the chance to give it to the Citadel/Alliance.

1) INDOCTRINATION is not our friend.

2) The Reapers left tech behind to cause us to develop in paths they wanted us to. So how would using the base help us develop on a divergent path?

Base goes boom. Kaidan agrees.

Even if we could give it to the Alliance, I have no doubt Cerberus could still get their hands on snippets if not all the tech.
