I have so many bits and pieces of Ella and Kaidan from ME1&2 I keep debating actually writing some of it, but I don't actually have a plot for them, just bits. *shrugs* Not that lack of plot is stopping LfW, but I'd rather not have a second random jumble of character-interactions. My brain might turn to mush.

You're going to have to start including a "recommended alcohol pairing" per chapter for your  beta readers soon.

@Batt: Yes, I pointed that out before. Doesn't matter. Jho still does wonderful work. And I think Kaidan's better looking than the default Warden Commander anyway.

Don't get me wrong, he's still an attractively drawn guy (and I like the whole Y Chromosome screaming-thing), I just think Kaidan... smoulders more? In his version.  His eyes definitely follow you, that's for sure.  The Warden's... not so much.

Jho's L2 definitely has spectacularly smoldering eyes. I so want to write a scene for it, but nothing I've managed is as good as it is. Yet. (The Warden looks like he's proud of his bad@ssery, but Alenko looks like he's protecting something important, and is actually much more intimidating. imho, of course.)

Yes, but in a world where the standard is usually the 12 year olds of JRPGs.... rough and tough is better.  Though I prefer Leon Kenedy to Chris Redfield.   Just for two random examples.

Also another reason to prefer Kaidan Alenko.  He's tough without being a jerk.

Tough w/o being a jerk is wonderful, and distressingly rare.

Though, actually, the rules were very important to Ella.  Before the Alliance grounded her ship, and ignored her warnings, and then smeared her name after she died.  She doesn't have much use for them anymore.
(She's the character who actually would've said 'yes' when Alenko asked if she got that close to all her crew, in a vain, vain attempt to pretend she wasn't completely falling for him.)

Avery's not particularly broken up about not being reinstated yet, either.

Ella told Anderson that there was no way in hell she was going to be reinstated. She didn't even consider it when she heard what they'd been up to while she was dead. (She would've forgiven the smear campaign, if they'd just been /doing/ something at the same time.)

Probably the same advice he gives for Jacob.  Inventive uses for biotics.  Though he won't warn you to check for bugs afterwards.

I got to that point in Jacob's romance and nearly died laughing, because Mordin makes it clear where he's hinting you should check.
