You know what's cool about these forums and reading fan fic?  You get so much more out the story of the game.  Like your point above.
Like the fact that Anderson likely sent Alenko out to Horizon as bait for you and that he more than likely timed it so that Kaidan would be gone by the time you answered his summons to the Citadel.
Things that I didn't really catch at first glance.

Dunno. To my knowledge, if they use motion capture, its the actor and Kaidan sure as heck doesn't look like Sbarge (thank goodness)

haha just wondering I've always wondered that about a lot of characters. The only one who I definetely know wasn't modeled was Jenkins . Also I have never saved Kaidan in any playthrough of ME1. But I always liked his character and backstory wish I could have also saved him!

haha true I could (was gonna play ME1 in a couple days) but IDK I always choose Ashley because I didn't like Liara that much (don't like getting into it with aliens unless its the consort ) and because I found Ashley much more attractive (I'm a guy lol) than Kaidan lol. But I do wish I could have saved both and gotten rid of someone else like Wrex. I always took Kaidan and Ashley on every quest!

Kaidan's ethnicity is hard enough to pin point as it is.

It would have been cool if there was that option--to save both, but perhaps there would be trick to it. It would be very, very difficult to do but possible. So not everyone would have been able to do it, but a few would.

Well, story-wise w/ME2 out now, the only two who might be expendable are Garrus and Wrex, as Tali and Liara are necessary for Geth/Quarian and Shadow Broker/Collector plots respectively.  And how awful would the pre-Horizon arc of ME2 be, with no one at all you can trust, so that pretty much just leaves Wrex.

Really?  I don't see much resemblance.  But I haven''t  really seen his visual performances either.  I tried watching a little, but Carth/Kaidan's voice coming out of someone light-haired and behind bars (the character was a baddie) just kinda creeped me out and I shut it off.

Yeah.  You missed the recent conversation we had here about who all we would be willing to sacrifice to keep kaidan safe.

the answer came down to even the entire galaxy in some cases.  LOL

I feel like if we could save them both then that would destroy the feeling of death and loss Shepard has to endure, knowing nothing she can do can stop it.

The suicide mission is incredibly easy to do once you figure out the "formula" to get past. Unfortunately there are/were some people that though using Jacob for the biotic barrier was a genius idea and when their squadmate died because of it, they yelled on the forums that the game is bugged. XD



For ME3, I don't want a "Okay, choose this person and the other will die." choice, I want a sudden, abrupt incident that happens and you don't see it coming. Each to their own, though.
