I'm happy with Kaidan and Garrus.  Not everyone should want to get into Shep's armor.

Because Shepard is a sexy woman and everyone wants her but only one can actually have her.

I'm quite happy with most of the choices, especially when you consider what a lot of other franchises offer female gamers.  Which is nothing.

You make a fair point there- as a gamer I thank BioWare for the choices we get, but speaking out of Shepard's mouth, none of the others compare to Kaidan IMO and the others just arn't my cup of tea.

Garrus lol I don't know why I just don't like the idea of being with other races thats why I'm not into tali or liara, also you actually liked garrus being an LI?

Yes.  Who cares if he's an alien?  They're digital cartoony people.  He's your best buddy and stuck with you through thick and thin.  

He gets Meghan and one free and clear Shep.  (I'm only going to do the stupid love triangle thing ONCE.)

Well maybe my shepard has a bachelor mindset?lol... the one thing that always bothered me about ME1and2 was that it isn't easy to create a male shepard that either: 1.looks like you or 2.Is'nt stupid looking. Sure we have the custom default guy but it seems (haven't tried it) like its easier to create a women character is it easy or hard? Every time I play ME I just use the default guy.

I'm with Sia and Shenzi. I don't need any more LIs. Too many people seem hung up on Shep.

For my Sheps, I'd either go with Kaidan or Garrus, depending on the character. Or stay single completely. I'm not interested in the others so far (and oddly enough - the others are the ones that seem much more forced in progression - to me anyway).

@PlumPaul: Well I'm really happy with my Shepard, though she isn't based on me (mostly on Bastila Shan actually (one of my all time favourite game and SW characters!), but also just what I liked). It can be tricky to get her lips to look right and the noses arn't great but I attempted a maleShep and couldn't create a decent looking one for the life of me. That ruined it for me, as I was prepared to play male once but couldn't. I think it is harder to create a good looking male.

It didn't take me long to make my Shep in my avatar, which is my favorite of the ones I've made so far. I worked off the default and made tweaks - but I had a clear image in my head on how she should look.

I am sure that there will be new LI choices.  and its not like you really have to decline any of them.  Just don't pick the flirty responses (although Shep sounds like a tart with Jacob regardless of the response--you could be saying "I hate you" and it would come out "Hey baby, wanna date?")

@Fire Eye:  I think Kaidan and Ash were supposed to be cordoned off for this game to make Shepard and the gamer feel isolated from them.  You're playing from Shep's side.  It would ruin the effect if you are seeing firsthand the anguish that the VS is going through.  Playing as Joker is different because he is with you and is still part of the team.

Probably not as much an issue here in this thread.  Kaidan's our ideal.  As I said earlier, even if there were other men to romance in ME1, I still would have gone with Kaidan just for the voice at first, then for the character later.
I'll have a new character "cheat" in ME2--but just to see what the fallout with Kaidan will be--so for story reasons.  My real Shep is true.  The other characters just couldn't compare to her one true love.

If they're going to do LIs, just do the same ones we've already had since Game 1. They always have LIs in their games and I doubt they'll stop now. Add some feelings into it.

It'd be interesting to see what a romance started with a ME1 member would be like if you started it in ME3. If I could, I think I may have my single Shep romance Kaidan in ME3 if possible. I mean, he has always made her feel a little fuzzy inside, just never acted because the threat was too big to stop for love.

That's assuming you could start romances with Kaidan, Ashley, or Liara in ME3 if you didn't in ME1.

Uh... no.  He's like... the adopted teenaged son my Shep never wanted.  That's a little harder to overcome than student / little brother (Garrus).
