... it occurs to me that the Horizon discussion seems to imply that Shepard saved whoever was at the AA towers on Virmire.  Either that or that Tali and Garrus are your crew to infiltrate the base.

Because if you take the other person with you, they see you talk to Sovereign.  Which means that Cerberus would probably be a teeny, tiny bit farther from their mind.

Either that, or Bioware expects you not to take your (presumed) love interest anywhere?

... nah, I guess not - because you could take them to Ilos, too.  I suppose it's just in the variables.  <_<

I think all your squadmates probably heard Sov speaking. Joker did when he was joking about EDI "if she starts claming to be the Vanguard of our destruction, I call shotgun on the first lifeboat" -  or something like that.

Maybe... he could have been quoting Shepard through word-of-mouth, though.  (I thought immediately after the conversation with Sovereign, he said something to the effect of "I don't know what you just did, but..." which negates neither possibility - he could have heard and not understood or he could have not heard and been warning about Sovereign suspicious turn.)

Well I was taking a nap.



I didn't really know about the uniforms and my Marine cousin was in Kuwait and I couldn't ask, so I went with ACU to stand for Alliance Casual Uniform and I am sorry it in rubs anyone the wrong way... it just made sense at the time and over 38 chapters ... yeah I don't think I am going to go through them all and change it.. so I will just appologize now *bows* I am sorry... on the up side you don't have to read it so....



I have a question, when ME3 comes back, do you want Shepard reinstated into the Alliance and if so - how will that effect your relationship with Kaidan vis a vis fraternization?

Certainly wouldn't mind having the choice to be able to go back to the Alliance. How regs would be handled would all depend on how the relationship is taken. Kaidan could give you the cold shoulder for a while for all we know.

@Night - I would like Shep to be reinstated but then it would complicate things for her and Kaidan. I think it would be nice if they could be together without all the worries plus Shep would still be a Spectre.

on a serious note, my spacer femshep wants to rejoin the alliance.  they are her family.   hopefully the higher-ups will cut her some slack where kaidan's concerned.  i also think they'd have to be the same rank in me3.  she deserves to be at the very least a staff commander.

MainShep wants Alliance.  I kinda have doubts that it will happen (or, if it does, that that it will have any more impact than being a Spectre in ME2 does).

Fraternization issues would depend on where and when Kaidan would be showing up, and in what capacity.  He may be happy to see you; he may be happy to see you, with reservations; he may still be trying to puzzle things out.  Regs may add additional layers to any of those, but at the same time they might be the farthest issue from his mind (as he seemed pretty confident in making the relationship work since he made up his mind).  He could also use it as an excuse to keep Shepard at arm's length if he's feeling unsure.

In short, it could be interesting, but I doubt they're gonna develop it.  <_<

Re: rejoining the Alliance

Ella is mad at them, and would be more likely to try and drag Kaidan out of it to be a free agent rather than rejoining.

Other Shep's would like to be reinstated, so I hope they do something different for the plot there. (And maybe make it impossible if you kept the base and gave it to Cerberus, as that might be too blatant an act of potential terrorism? Who knows... )
