Maybe instead, Kaidan will join Cerberus. Then when he speaks to Jacob, Jacob can inform him how Cerberus has no rules against fraternization. Jacob and Kaidan could get friendly with each other with no problem!
That is if Kaidan would get the same first conversation I did.

I haven't stopped by to show support from the other Virmire Survivor thread in forever! About time I started doing so again.
Kaidan is one of my top 5 favorite ME characters and I still hate Virmire with a passion. Kaidan for ME3!

I want Kaidan and Shep on the same ship together.  I can see this happening in one of two ways.
(1)  She's accepted more officially as a Spectre.  Alenko gains command of a ship and she's the resident Spectre of the ship.  (which is funny, 'cause I was reading Sia's FF last night and I think that's how it works in that)
or
(2) Like I read in another FF (and I can't remember whose) where she stays independent and Kaidan is a resident representative of the Alliance.

I don't think I could really see her rejoining, though.  She's chaffed under both the Alliance and Cerberus.  As a Spectre, she can do what she wants.  I think her staying independent would be most likely for her.  Especially since it seems like Bioware is setting it up that she is the hub through which a large "alliance" is going to form to fight the geth.  Since the Citadel and the Alliance may have issues with that, the easiest solution would remain indy.  Remeber that possibilites out there to be aligned are the rachni, the geth, the Council races, and then non-council races like the Quarians and the Krogans.  She has favorable relationship with all of these.

My Shep wants to be reinstated Alliance. She was proud to serve, and there are reasons that I can't get into on why (else I may spoil some tidbits for my story), but she'd be very disappointed if she can't be reinstated. But that's her specifically.

Meghan.... no way. Not going back. She'll keep her Spectrehood though. Never been much for rules... and her turian boyfriend won't help that.



Avery is more on the fence. She'd like it, but to report to a chain of command again while the galaxy's at stake may slow her down.

My main Shep is a spacer and would like to go back to the Alliance but she's still a bit ticked off with them and in a wait and see frame of mind. She likes the idea of being able to do things her way without having the brass interfere. but she'd go back in a heartbeat if Kaidan asked her to, and to hell with the fraternisation regs, lol

My game character and my ff character are as similar as possible. She misses the Alliance - after all, she's been part of it pretty much all her life (spacer) but she also knows that it wouldn't be the same if she returned.

I always remember Jacob's comment before the first mission, when he says that most Alliance soldiers wouldn't even give him/them a chance - so no more Alliance. I think she'd prefer to work independent (lol... my worst possible idea...) and having connections in all possible directions to mobilize an army... thus: no problem with fraternization.

But yes... gaming char = ff char - hurray I am so incredibly creative and I am going to bed... before 3 am once in a long time. *poof*

on a serious note, my spacer femshep wants to rejoin the alliance.  they are her family.   hopefully the higher-ups will cut her some slack where kaidan's concerned.  i also think they'd have to be the same rank in me3.  she deserves to be at the very least a staff commander.

kyrie wants to be alliance again - so long as the alliance isn't secretly still tied to cerberus in some horrible way that anderson knows about. but yeah, alliance, please.

fraternization.... hmmmm....

dunno. there *are* spacers who get married and work things out (spacer background implies this) so perhaps with the two of them, it could work out. 

OR she'll be specter only, but get some nod from the Alliance. just...away from cerberus. crazy gits.

-Fraternization is just not nookie times, it is also officers being friendly and hanging out with NCO's. or someone making friends with a person of a lower rank in general. Sexy times are also included in here as well.

That is interesting. So femShep and Ashley being friends is a nono.

It makes sense though. Authority needs to be in place; without it, favoritism occurs and poor decision making happens.

W/the spacer background, as long as they're both officers, and not in the same chain of command, it's not fraternization. (There are lots of dual-military families... it's not that uncommon, actually.)



And goodness yes, none of my Shepards want to stay w/Cerberus. I keep telling myself I should make a pro-Cerberus character just to see what happens in 3... but it hasn't happened yet.

Kate would like to rejoin the Alliance but she's got certain conditions that have to be met for it to even be considered an option so it could go either way. That's going to be dealt with after the next chapter so not going to go into any details on it.



As far as fraternization goes, after all she's been through she really could care less about a little fraternization.
