since kaidan's photo was in femshep's quarters, she did not want to divulge anything in a letter or comm link message that cerberus could read or overhear.  while on illium, she'd request that liara contact him on her behalf and arrange a meeting.  in case she died on her suicide mission, she'd prefer to say a proper goodbye.

Don't know if I'd even want to use Liara like that. Avery doesn't quite trust her any more.

And Meg's just that paranoid.

@ Batteries: yeah: "Kaidan, don't you see? We don't have to runaway anymore. I am more powerful than the Ilusive Man, I can overthrow him! And together you and I can rule the galaxy, make things the way we want them to be!"

o.O Wait a minute...

Perfect.

Kaidan: Shepard, you're breaking my heart! You're going down a path I cannot follow...!

My main Shep would probably send a letter saying that she would like to work things out but, she would leave that up to him.

So there is a guy wearing the same armor Kaidan wears on Horizon when you do Samara's recruitment mission...except it's pink and has no blinky lights.

EDIT

NOWAITAMINUTE there's another guy wearing the same armor, blinky lights and all.

Just sneaking in here :-)

I´m just on my way to save Liara ... going to kill some geth ...lol...

My femshep would want to answer the email and explain herself to Kaidan. But that´s it... If he wants to get in touch with her, he would have to make the first step... I know, she can be very stubborn ;-)

Oddly enough, I think Mel (who remained faithful) would probably send an initially angry response, containing several expletives and general defensiveness, before softening her "tone" and accepting his pseudo-olive branch by suggesting they meet up for drinks when the time is right.

Navarra (who moved on with Garrus) would be the one who'd respond much more apologetically and conciliatory, while acknowledging that much has changed and that she doesn't want to complicate his life any more than she already has, ultimately letting him go.  Posted Image

i may have answered this a little a page ago, but kyrie's response is very...schizo.  she's all over the map after horizons.

i am working on it right now... :bandit: *back to stealth writing/lurking*

admittedly, my femshep would have reservations but she believes the old liara is in there somewhere and would rely on their shared history to preclude her from any messiness.

are you still hiding your angst under nekkid kaidans?  that could explain the schizo response.

Shep is suppose to be on a suicide mission, writting anything other than a goodbye letter seems kind of cruel to Kaidan ... I mean the guy had barely moved on.

Suppose you survived the mission, then it kinda nice to write him a note saying everything is alright and he needn't worry.

YOu're right.  Which is one of the reasons Meghan doesn't reply.

Avery's an optimist, though.  She will get through it.  Especially if he's on the other side.

Mine wouldn't send anything back at all, but I like the idea of sending a message saying "I'd like that."

Hello all!

My take on the letter is that my Shepard understands where Kaidan is coming from -- because she doesn't want to get hurt either -- but at the same time, having everything taken away is giving her a new perspective on life, and she knows for sure now that what she felt for Kaidan was real. So, if she has the opportunity to fight for their relationship she will.

Which is why Horizon sucked SO BAD. My Shepard would have never let him walk away like that, if I had had control of her actions. She even made the effort to make a speech to *Zaeed* during his loyalty quest, she would certainly make the time to talk to Kaidan.

Well, they might call it a suicide mission, but my Sam had no doubt that she would survive :-)

Well, I suppose that's fair, it's not like death ever stopped Shepard from surviving (with some major reconstructive surgery). But still, I would give the man some closure, at least before the final mission. Then move on from there and see if the relationship can be salvaged.
