Do the devs have the forums monitored at all? Perhaps not personally, but by their underlings? To see what it is that people like and don't like, want and don't want in their games? Not that they would do all those things, but to get a handle at least on what is expected of them?

There is a fair amount of interaction between BW personnel and these boards.

They may not post in these threads, but David Gaider is very active in the Dragon Age community.

The devs are more active in the DA side then the ME side. Gaider talks to fans alot I havent seen many on this side realy.

That's because he doesn't write for ME.

No, he writes for Bioware. If he were to write for you, then... well, some --let's say "interesting"-- stuff would happen.

@Indigo: Nice Aimo sig. :)

And Gaider is awesome, and very active in the community. It would be nice if some of the ME devs were too, but as he does it in his mythical free time, I can't really blame those devs who want to spend their's away from the computer and bioware stuff.

And I vaguely recall a guest-blog-type-entry by, I think, Christina Norman, way back during ME1, about it being the female staffs' unofficial job to make sure the male LI's were properly attractive, as the concept artists and such at the time were all men. It was pretty entertaining. She was obviously a Kaidan fan.

Oh!  Good.  Hopefully she's still a Kaidan fan--more so than the ME2 guys.  Posted Image

I see some talk about Christina Norman :)

While she does seem to be one of the more friendly and personable ME devs, she's the lead gameplay designer and doesn't have anything to do with the writing. She's the one you want to talk to about getting more rpg back into the game and asking questions about skill sets, weapons, etc.

Which doesn't help in getting more romance in the story I guess

Speaking of automated e-mail alerts, followers of Truth and Lies may be getting one later today once my betas have had their say. *Poke at Sia or Jilly or anyone else who wants to take a look*

Yeah and don't forget Christina was the one who said femSheps were going to love Kasumi's dlc and all we got was a stupid dress, that we can't even sit properly in, lolPosted Image

After the so-called 'compelling' ME2 LI's, I'm convinced the ME writing team are a bunch of guys who obviously wrote them while having a Friday night down at the local and thought talk of prizes and stress relief were smexy, lmao.  I really hope they don't do that to Kaidan in ME3

huh. broke my link. there: chapter 26, horizons 1

well, for me, i LIKE the LBD. it was just that there was no feminine motion capture to go with it.

i do love the part where you get to run in heels though. lol like you took a page from miranda's book. i liked kasumi's dlc. one of the better onces imo

Hey, I happen to like that dress, Sesh... I just make sure never to have that conversation with Garrus while wearing it.

Not even Meghan would wear it while talking to Garrus.

I'm not into dresses and neither is my Shep so I'm very meh about the dress and Kasumi really. It just made her stand out like dogs balls at a party where she was supposedly trying not to attract attention given that everyone else had the standard floor length dress on as well. At least a long dress would have disguised the fact that she walks like a rugby front rower, lmao

One thing that DA has over ME in terms of writing is definently dialouge. The Charachers from both are very compelling but Gaider and others on the DA team would never have someone say TEH PRIZZE or write such cheesy stuff.
Not to bash ME2 but Razorfist sums up most of my view:

BEWARE OF ADULT LANGUAGE AND PICS.

I facepalmed when I saw that Shep sat the exact same way in that dress as she did in her BDU while talking to Garrus.

Good imagery, Sesh.  She does walk like she's playing football. And her arms movements just don't go with the outfit either. They look sort of rubbery to me.

I like the LBD, agree that it seems slightly out of context in a formal party but it's cute. I guess that Christina's comment raised a rather different sort of hope that she anticipated.  She's thinking shopping/dress/heels and many of us were thinking Kaidan.
