The Dragon Age women don't move any smoother, though.  And if you want to see still female walking, look at Juno Eclipse in The Force Unleashed.  A nice feminine sache has not been developed yet.

For me, femShep's movements in ME1 were perfectly fine. No overly-feminine strut, but she did move like a woman. FemShep in ME2 moves as if she had the physique of a hunky male with broad shoulders and practically no hips at all. Seems to me as if they just slapped femShep's body onto Sheploo's animations. But since men and women differ in body structure, it DOES. NOT. WORK.

Also, Kaidan.  =]

Question is, would Kaidan like the dress?  (Personally, I think he'd rather go for one of those purple asari looking things.)

Also, when he's admiring the asari commandos is that because he wants to grow up to be one or simply because they're... um... impressive?

A short black leather dress that shows clevage and lots of leg?  Are you proposing that he's gay?  Posted Image
Would he prefer to see her in an asari dress?  Yeah probably, but only in private.  I don't think he'd deal well with Garrus, Thane, Jacob, and Chambers oogling her in that dress.  Posted Image

Well, since inadvertently I phrased it that way... I wouldn't say he's gay, (unless he's bi or only straight for Shepard), but he could be an action transvestite.

Er... well... anyway!  :innocent:

Er... Yeah, I'll agree with that - Women hold a different center of gravity then men.  Even women who are masculine, who might not walk in a stereotypical feminine fashion, still walk like women.

And Kaidan!  ^_^

@sage - You're going to need therapy after spending so much time playing through and writing about Horizon over the last few days.

Ah, yes.  This is the point of the sequence where my Shepard's brain went Bluescreen of Death.

I recognize it well.

I hate it when the computer stuff acts up.  Posted Image
Nope.  Just the one letter to Kaidan.
But I'm working on something--won't actually post it unless I have it complete--uh, I've started Star Wars FF before that I never finished x2.  Posted Image
Basically its Shepard getting a forced va-k while the Normandy is in dry dock after ME2.
No real plot.  Just what she would do.  You know, fluff.  Posted Image

The armor in ME2 doesn't help since its so bulky.

@ Horizon:  one of the positives of that awful encounter (was thinking about this today with reading JaerWolf's stuff), is to show that Kaidan has changed.  He's not her subordinate anymore.  (Actually, he outranks her).  He's his own man now.  And he can go toe-to-toe with her and walk away with dignity.  (Yes, we all hate him walking away).  But the big thing that has changed and that I think will be good in the relationship is that they are more of equals now.  If there hadn't been that 2 year gap, perhaps he wouldn't have had the growth.

The picture's so cute. Despite what comes out of their mouths after, its not like a friendly hug. Look at how they both have their face turned into the other's neck. And the length of the hug was above norms for a "social" hug also.

It covers the "Where the hell have you been/I missed you" components of the conversation nicely.

Oh dear, walking animations. I think ME1 was perfectly fine in and out of armor. I think in armor ME2 was fine, but out of armor was silly. Granted, both Sheploo and FemShep looked silly.

Sometimes when people say "walk like a woman", I cannot help but picture some cat walk thing going down >_>

I know they walk differently, but I can't help it. XD

So hearing a conversation with Kaidan again, he says that he has never lost a soldier under his command, "at least to hostile action". Wonder what he means by that. o.O

He means that he's not ever been the commander of the marine squads and lost a person to hostile action, battle. When Jenkins is killed on Eden Prime, Shepard is the commander in charge of the marine squads. Technically, later, Kaidan is as Shepard is the CO of the vessel.

Hmm... that's a very good question, Batteries. See, Bioware, this is why we need our Kaidan back in ME3. Inquiring fangirls want to know.

@Sapphy I don't think that's precisely what Batteries was asking.  The fact that Kaidan says "not to hostile action, anyway" implies that he has lost someone under his command for another reason.

Soldiers die in accidents, training exercise errors, and simple bad luck all the time in the army.

Hmmm...I don't know. Again that huge black hole that is most of Kaidan's life for us.

And what about Jenkins? I forget his rank, but he seemed rather green. Wouldn't he have been under Kaidan's command?

Probably lost someone to a disease or something. I think that would still not be uncommon.

Jenkins was under Shepard's command.  Kaidan is only the OIC after Shepard gets Spectre'd.

I figure he means that he's lost people he was directly responsible for the wellbeing of, just not in combat. Wouldn't rule out such cheerful demises as accidents, suicides, or sinkholes.
