I think I could take Wrex for Grunt, but grunt makes me laugh more (and we all know that I love to laugh) to that end although Mordin makes me laugh and I like him, he dies too easy on me, and Samara for Liara .. but you know.. ME loyalty so..

Truthfully, if I could have Kaidan back, the only other squaddie I'd need is Garrus. They're the only ones I took everywhere for both Meghan and Avery.

As much as I want to include Wrex, he's got stuff that he needs to do elsewhere.

I think Mordin should be an NPC, someone you can have some great conversations with while he works in his lab, but still leaves a squad spot open.



For character development purposes, I'd want:



Kaidan

Jack

Miranda

Legion

Thane

Grunt

Tali/Kal



For gameplay, I really only need Kaidan, then either Thane or Garrus for sniper, and a krogan for brute force. I agree w/Fort though, that while I love Wrex, he's actually doing good where he is, and I am weirdly amused by Shepard raising Grunt, so he's still in.

Nope.  I think we've got enough.  And if you killed them, you should live with their lack and not get a "B" Team. 

I want my "A" Team, dammit.  Hell, make Kasumi and Zaeed full squaddies instead of DLC only.

Add me to the team-bus... no new squaddies for ME3! (And I can't believe I forgot to mention Liara in my 'needed for character development' list. dang. Also... yes to Joker and Chakwas, obviously, but they stay on the ship, so I didn't include them in ground team people.)

I agree.

It's going to be a mess story wise just dealing with all the squad members we already had between both games, no need to introduce yet more characters into the mix.

Nope, I dont even love half of the ones we've already got and I still dont want any new ones. Please just no more, develop the ones we have at most I'd expect like one or two additions. Or if they really wanted to maybe a new person whos help you need on one or two missions, like theyre a speacialist or you need their help in particular for whatever reason, well thats if there was really a need to add new characters.

And to the poster who said Mordin as an NPC, I think thats a great idea

Have any of the writers ever caught themselves giggling or being embarrassed/ashamed/shocked about the ideas that started showing up in their head?

You know those situations when you see one of those pictures that you know you shouldn't look at and yet you can't help it because you are strangely fascinated/turned on or shocked by it.

I love the way my mind twists and moves... though I stopped trying to follow it.

I am sometimes shocked at what my mind comes up with... so yes I know what you mean...  they often have Kaidan and other odd things in them... Like showers ... and Lack of towels ... yeah...

I am more talking about ideas that startle you, that make you blush or laugh, that make you think 'where the hell did that come from?' or that get you to look over your shoulders, making sure that nobody sees that twisted and evil grin on your face.

So, I went to read the latest chapters but then wondered where I left of in the story. So instead of reading the new chapters right away, I went back and read the last 8 chapters in a row. I was sitting here in a Mass Effect bubble created by your story and could just see all the characters and Kaidan with his biotics flaring. Really wonderfully written and a  joy to read, despite the subject of Horizon. Your Shepard's thoughts and emotions made a lot of sense and 'softened' the blow a bit. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to read more because I like being in the ME bubble when reading

Gosh, I wish ME3 would be released before DA2....heh...then again I don't want it to be a rush job, but I do want some Kaidan/Shepard closure.

ah...if it ends in a bad, unsatisfactory way (i.e., ME1 love interests are thrown under a reaper bus) i will be sad. i could *almost* deal with a shep-dying ending if it's REALLY freakin' well told and justified, but...i doubt it would keep me from being totally crushed. i'd like an ending that sees things come to a conclusion that fits the paragon or renegade paths and keeps shep and his/her love alive. i don't need a post card sequence to tell me that they all lived happily ever after. just a kotor-type ending with everyone waving happily. that works for me.

and then i will replay it several times and possibly write a fanfic...

and then i'll no doubt get addicted to BWs next series.

Quite frequently, when I get stuck the muse tends to come out with something goofy and totally inappropriate. Some of the time those ideas wind up working really well, other times.... not so much.

but i mean, really. you give a gamer girl (or boy) a well-written LI character and then do NOTHING with them for a whole frickin' game except have an argument?  what else is there to do but let the imagination wander?
