Morning... and what's this about femShep shooting Kaidan in the head? Not happening, even if I was distracted... all other teammates would complain more because I am so... distracted... but not Kaidan!
*waves at Jho* Good to see you around again!

Where's Jho? Did I miss her this morning? *confesses to jumping a few pages*

LoL... wow, only way I get quoted is when someone looks for someone else.
Urgh - first my friend cancels our evening... today is one crappy day *cries*

No Kioux, no cry!!!! *huggles*

Headshot is accidental because Kaidan will like all other squaddies run into Sheps fire. because they all want to impress her.....pshaaaa :P

Don't mind me - I am used to it anyway and I'll just go back into my little corner. Actually, I'll go and kill someone, maybe that makes me feel better... FO3, Prototype... hmm...

Okay, so I thought about a possible scenario in ME3.....

Imagine you, as in your Shepard, and Kaidan are chasing after someone or something. You're only slightly faster and catch up rather slowly. Now what you're chasing after shoots at you while fleeing, and a "lucky" shot hit Kaidan and he goes down.

....keep reading xD

Instinctivly you stop and look if he's okay. It looks bad, but you have no idea if it actually is bad. Now you have two choices...stay with him and try to help him out and get him to safety or leave him behind and continue chasing after what shot him (going on and just calling the Normandy to pick Kaidan up is not an option). If you catch the shooter you'll get a piece of information that would finally give you an advantage over the Reapers, making a fight still hard, but so much easier. You have no way of knowing what would happen to Kaidan, though. If you stay with Kaidan, well you know where I'm going with this. Without the intel on the Reapers, the fight will be much harder, but not impossible to win.

Kaidan is of course trying to be the hero as in saying you should go, he'd be okay, and getting the intel is more important. (I'd say that's IC for him)

What would you do in this situation? (no with one Shepard this and with the other that - what would YOU do in Shepard's place).

and a second question, would you like a situation like this in ME3? or do you think Virmire and Horizon was enough and BW should leave Kaidan alone^^

Also, do you expect a situation like this in ME3 regardless of what you may want?

hm, I guess that was enough to kick off a discussion^^

@Baal: My Shepard (and I) would never leave Kaidan behind - not after loosing everything already. The person with the intel might run and get away but ffs we are 'Commander Shepard' and we have friends in contacts in all sorts of places so I have the hope we'll be able to catch that guy again.

But no matter what - Kaidan would live to see it... or live to die with Shepard if we lose against the Reapers.

Professionalism or not - I think Shepard earned the right to be a bit emotional.

That's a really hard question... My mind would say you have to get the intel..., because it can save a lot more lifes... but my heart would want to go to Kaidan. And it´s not just about Kaidan either I would want to help everyone else of the crew, too... I´ll be torn between my feelings and my duty for the world, but I guess I would continue to chase the enemy... To much depends on it and as the way I see Kaidan he would not want me to save him in this moment either... But it would be a hell to decide...

BW should leave Kaidan alone :) Nothing against making difficult heartbreaking decisions, but not again about Kaidan... I think femshep already suffers enough...imo

There might be a situation like that again... I just hope it has nothing to with the LI's...

I agree and I doubt anyone would hold it against him/her.

That's what I was going for :-)

Yeah,
I mentioned that he would tell you to go on and that he'd figure
something out. I think it would be very Kaidan of him to be like that ^^
I
expect that they'll have a tough decision like that in ME3, at least
involving (a) crew-member(s) or squadmate, and possibly the LI.

You like tough questions, don't you?  Posted ImagePosted Image

Me?  Not Shepard?  Stay with Kaidan.  I wouldn't be running to save the galaxy anyways.
My Kimbri Shepard?  Stand undecided for a moment because the two things she wants most in the galaxy could hang in the balance with that decision.
But she would stay.  It was just a possible piece of intel.  She has Liara, the Alliance, and TIM that all are good at tracking down intel.
There's only one Kaidan.  And she learned in ME2 that "saving the galaxy" doesn't signify much to her personally when she's lost the only thing in it that gives that victory meaning.

Well, in Fable II when you can choose to bring back lots of innocent people, wealth OR save your family and your dog, I saved my family (tbh I wasn't thinking about the 'family', as much as I was thinking about my faithful hound...........)

So, yeah. I'd put Kaidan first, also when we start viewing one person as expendable we become Cerberus and I hate those b.........

Ah.  Good point.  From their POV, using David as a geth interface was for "the good of the many."
I'm sure Kaidan would be a bit conflicted about the decision to save him as well--like he was with Ash's death.  I think he would understand, though, since he followed what duty dictated and Shep died.

Why thank you :D I feel all clever now! But yes, that is exactly the point I am making, the minute you start to 'calculate', your choices against a 'big picture', you lose a little humanity.

Hmm...hat's how I made most, if not all, of my decisions in ME......I guess there isn't much humanity left in me/my Shepard then.... ^^
