She usually never misses for me. Even though I disagreed with her interpretation of Legion, I was impressed she thought to at least write him differently and his dialogue still sounded like I expect Legion to sound. This latest chapter didn't quite have that perfect dialogue for me, I felt like I was still reading an AI with Legion's voice instead of EDI's.

The Liara DLC has been in the rumor mill for months, ever since the cut dialogue was found in the game files. I've not seen even an inkling of a DLC for the Virmire survivor. I try to be optimistic about it, but sometimes I wonder if Bioware will never give us the desired story with the Virmire survivor because they're so in love with the more "complex" and "interesting" squadmates.

Okay, I try to be optimistic, but I'm a pessimist about everything.

I doubt we're going to see anything else with the VS until ME3. I'm already surprised they're going to deal with the Shadow Broker in DLC. Then again, I also doubt we just ride on in and kill him. There's gotta be some kinda of hook if you get down to it.

I speculated in another thread that the Shadow Broker would have information about the Reapers he'd use to bargain for his life. Think it's ridiculous to assume that only Cerberus is researching Reaper tech out there. Well, actually, they weren't considering the Turians got the Thannix Cannon from reverse engineering Sovereign.

yes, there is actual dlc.  it's a liara partay forumwide.   and pac i agree about her outfit.  i want.

i like to think of myself as an optimistic realist.  there will not be any vs content.  we'll have to wait for me3.

I have a hard time believing that just Cerberus is looking into it. You can't even guarantee that whoever we may run into will actually be the Shadow Broker. It could be a group, any species, any gender. It could be the Illusive Man(doubt it) or it could be a Reaper for all we know.
I don't even know if I really could have the feeling to just go and kill him. Even by selling Shep's body to the Collectors, I don't hate him. He did what he does; sells to the highest bidder. Grateful I got my body back, but I'm not going to hunt him down guns blazing. Of course, I assume there's more to it than that. There always is.
If he had info, I'd be very tempted to take it.

I'm very curious about the true identity of the Shadow Broker... sighs... I might even take a break from ME1 for while to play ME2 again (actually I wanted to wait and finish my two playthroughs before I move on for another turn in ME2)...lol...

My Shepard would stay with Kaidan until help arrived.  She has this complex about leaving people behind; if she couldn't drag him forward with her, she'd abandon the information.  (Then again, she'd still expect to be able to go after and catch up with info-person after Kaidan was secure, so... yeah.)


Re: No one to talk to after Horizon.

I think Joker is trying to be helpful, he's just not a people person.  I also find it useful to save the bottle of brandy until after Horizon - then Chakwas talks about Kaidan, even if Jenkins is attached, and Shepard can get happily drunk.  Win-Win situation, that.

... well, they did talk about a Romance Pack.  But I doubt it'd have anything to do with us.

I don't really like what they did with the Shadow Broker in ME2.  I'm curious if it'll answer the question, "why did Saren betray the Shadow Broker?" but I doubt I'll be interested.

(I still say the Shadow Broker's true identity is Kaidan, just because of the Liara vs. Kaidan fighting over Shepard's body bit.)

In ME2, you have Liara and The Shadow Broker at odds over Shepard's corpse.

In ME1, you have Liara and Kaidan at odds over Shepard's (still living) body, so to speak, via the whole love triangle thing.

 i have heard the following identities for the shadow broker:

• Miranda's dad
• Liara's dad (my fave, though i doubt it)
• A drell
• Armiston Banes (another fave of mine - such a total throw away char in the first game)
• someone else in the Alliance
• Shaiera (sp?) the consort

others i'm forgetting? i'm looking at the pic in redemption right now and it looks like iron man. 




i kept hoping kaidan/ash would help with the liara dlc, but...ah well. i guess this means liara is back at the end of the dlc?

does this mean the virmire survivor will not be a squaddie??

IT would fit the BW modus operandi.  At the end of ME1 a lot of people wondered why you couldn't finish off cerberus or avenge Admiral Kahoku and it ended up being central to ME2, this organization you didn't even have to hear about depending on how you played the game.  Banes is just out there hanging right now...

I'm really excited about the Liara dlc, it will be very interesting bringing down the Shadow Broker. I was so intrigued by the Shadow Broker in ME1.

I like that it looks like a scientists outfit... which is what her class was in the first game.
