Me, Liara and Kaidan are going to be all back together again... as long as I don't get the eye of Sauron right when it is released.

Shut up, I hate you.

Did you get the star charts?

I've seen people speculate that Banes is the Illusive Man before. From Anderson's reaction, he doesn't seem like a very nice guy.

IT would fit the BW modus operandi.  At the end of ME1 a lot of people wondered why you couldn't finish off cerberus or avenge Admiral Kahoku and it ended up being central to ME2, this organization you didn't even have to hear about depending on how you played the game.  Banes is just out there hanging right now...

i just keep thinking of anderson: "Where'd you hear that name? Never mind. I don't want to know. Banes is dead."

:?

really?  i am seriously hoping anderson is not in league with the shadow broker or cerberus in any way. i just...don't want that. but it WOULD be cool if he and banes had a history? yes? (ME conspiracy theorist, here)

That is entirely true. I wonder if the Hades' Dog part where you either give them the info or not will play a role?

One Kaidan to find them
One Kaidan to bring them all
And in the darkness...bind them

I play at a massive Cerberus/Alliance conspiracy, but it's not like the main conspiracies on the Campaign and Storyline forums where Cerberus is still a part of the Alliance. More like a country funding a dubious organization that then fights their enemies.

Anderson's reaction makes me think that whatever Armistan Banes was doing, it was high level classified such that he knew the sensitive nature of it, even if he claims he doesn't know the details. Makes me wonder if Kaidan is in an Armistan Banes situation himself, doing missions for Anderson so classified that if he were show up mysteriously dead, anyone who looked into it further would also be in serious trouble.

Unless you're Shepard!! Because Shepard can do anything.

EDIT

Dayum, just realized how close this thread is to 2000 pages. How's that for someone who is supposed to be a whiny Carth clone? :o

i gave the shadow broker the information my first playthrough because i was unsure what to do but in subsequent games i never repeated that mistake.  i wonder what the consequences are.

I pretty much figured that if they really wanted to get that info, they would, just like the guy said to you himself. May as well get something from giving it to him.

Just a quick run by hi, since The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly is on tv.

I cant wait for ME3, but since Portal 2, Dragon Age 2, and about a dozen others are coming out I will be broke by that time sadly.

Also for some reason my sisters who loved DA cant play ME1, they are playing it at home and flat out hate it, and then promptly went back to play DA. I wonder why, also yes they already squeed at Kaidan.

I swear this thread is the biggest stealth thread of the forums. It is continuously active with a good collection of posters. You are unlikely to go more than a page, if that, without some reference to Kaidan. Just goes with my sentiment that most of the Kaidan haters (who are also mostly guys, sorry Nick), simply demonstrate how they massively fail to understand women. They can hate on Kaidan all they want, but they never stop to think "wait, all these women like him, though...." Stop, listen, and learn, guys.

Gameplay reasons, I bet. Do they squee over Alistair? Unfortunately, you do get ten times more, ah, off-time with him than you get with Kaidan.

DA reminds me much more of the playstyle of Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. ME is much more like Knights of the Old Republic. I like both, but it's not for everyone.

P.S. I never miss a chance to catch The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly if I happen across it on the tv on a weekend afternoon. 'eh, Blondie?

The Final duel still gives me chills, after like 20 times of seeing it.

But no its not gameplay wise, they just dont like it since they can play Halo or other FPS's pretty well. With dual Uzi's they were suprisingly good at MW2 in short order.

My one sister loved Zevran, but my other sister liked Alistair, catfights ensued.

I like ME, but I much perfer DA to it.

i handed it over the first time for the credits then the next time i didn't need them so i refused.  i guess the shadow broker was not terribly upset since he/she sold my femshep's body unless selling it to cerberus was his/her revenge.

I'm happy that the Liara fans are finally getting their DLC but, I wonder if this is the beginning of them bridging the gap between the two games?

As for the VS I guess we will have to wait for ME3 and so help me they better give my Shep a happy ending or I'm going to Posted Image

Hey, I think in ME3, we're going to fly inside a Reaper, have someone upload a virus into the "mother" Reaper so when it gets crippled the rest of them are too! Then we'll launch a missile when we're done to blow it up!

...

Wait.

yeah, i mean our shep's already died and had to choose between two crew members.  at least one ending should be sappy.

@batteries - i think you're confusing your sci-fi adventures.  :lol:

Nah... You know what, I really hope I don't just blow up the SUPER OVERLORD REAPER and the rest blow up. I want explosions, many big booms, MORE EPIC SPACE BATTLES! Space scenes in ME2 are gorgeous.

Ohhh I have to watch comic con on tv I wish I was there :(
