i almost wrote kissing biotic a**, but i realized that's shep's job. 

but Miranda did get a trailer. I assume if they did that kind of marketing again they'd use Ash. Because you know, people who are new to the series who decide to jump into a game that's into the 3rd installment will be confused. that can't happen.
I would wish to see a Garrus, Tali, Joker, Kaidan/Ash, and Liara. not too sure about garrus and tali since they might be dead and the others are alive for a fact, but who knows.

dur...yeah. i was thinking the one with miranda and TIM at the interface watching shep fight with thane and grunt. but that was me forgetting all those character vids.

so nm. i was just being dumb and bitter and sleepy. i'd blame writing post-horizon fallout, but that wouldn't account for all of it. soo...yeah.

yeah. i want a kaidan vid.

with that happy thought and the promise of liara dlc, i am off to sleep. gniht!

Gah, thank goodness it was a femShep with no ME1 history and therefore hadn't romanced Kaidan. Also, it has officially become Kaidan or no one for me in this game.

Heh, I'm the same way. I'll only reinstall ME1 for a Kaidan romance, but if I'm going for any of the other ME2 romances, it's a brand new Shepard or a Shepard from the MEsaves site so I have no real attachments to those characters. I liked the Thane romance and thought he was a gentleman, but if he's not back for ME3, I have no reason to play the character that romanced him. The Kaidan romance ties all three games together for me so that's why I'm really looking forward to finishing up ME3 on a high note with the guy that's been there from the start.

None of the ME2 romances made me have any investment in the characters. If Thane doesn't come back for ME3...and I see no reason why he should, the man is dying and should be spending his time with his kid...it won't break my heart. Garrus won't have any meaningful storyline in ME3 because he can die in ME2. He can be a squadie, maybe some dialog, but nada as far as character development. BW won't waste the resources.

Jacob...I can see BW trying to do something with him...and pity knows if any character deserved some sort of redemption it's his...but bringing him back will most likely be determined by the addition of any new squadies and he suffers from the same problem Garrus has...he can die in ME2, so why waste resources on him in ME3.

I'm one of the ones who would like to see new squadies, but only if we dumped some of the old. I would like Kal Reegar to be part of my squad, but I still wouldn't romance him if he was.

My biggest fear for ME3 is that they will make Kaidan and Ashley so interchangeable that it will ruin both characters. Doing that would make me dump ME2 in a heartbeat...okay, no it wouldn't. I love my Widow too much. Just don't tell her I've been seeing the Incisor on the side....

None of the ME2 romances had any of the depth that I felt Kaidan's romance had, they felt too quick to me and more like a lets do it before we die type deal whereas with kaidan I actually felt there was a build up of feelings and mutual respect.
I'd like to see the number of squadmates reduced, but Kaidan better be the first one I get, lol. 12 was far too many and unnecessary when you can only take 2 with you at a time. None of them died in any of my ME2 playthroughs so I really don't care whether there are new squadmates introduced or not. I'd rather have Kal Reegar than Tali though if I have to have a quarian at all, and I could live without an asari in my crew, lol.
I really hope they do Kaidan's personality justice in the writing for ME3 and don't make Shepard come across quite so lame when she's talking to him this time around, and please no more trying to sound sexy when talking to Jacob, or anyone for that matter, its just too off putting. Drop the cheese and the sleaze and go back to the ME1 style romances please.

As much as I love Kaidan, I do prefer Thane as a LI for my Shepard. There is this hope amongst the Thane fans that the recent events in the Cerberus Daily News about the Eupulmos respiratory device could provide something that will at least prolong his life. I really don't think Bioware would kill any character off between ME2 and ME3. In Thane's case, not after they worked so hard to develop a character specifically for the female fan base, invented a new and very rare species as a result, made him a LI and people who put in the effort to make sure he survives the mission.



If there is nothing to prolong his life, at least we've got a time table set up. ME3 is going to happen right after ME2 and fast.



With all of the characters, I certainly hope they put in as much effort as possible for them in ME3. They all could possibly die except for Liara.

My biggest problem with Thane...other than him dying and that he fix his screwup with his kid as much as it can be...is the terrible progress of his romance.

I don't think BW necessarily needs to kill any squadie off. Attrition could do it for them. Suicide mission is done. Samara goes home, Tali goes home, Zaeed goes for the next big payoff, Jack finds a bigger, badder ship to steal and go pirate queen with.
There's your DLC right there.
I don't suggest that for all of them, or any of the characters, actually, and I recognize that they each have a fan base as dedicated to them as I am to Kaidan, but I want the ME universe to evolve and grow. New species. New bad guys. New good guys. New weapons, new craft that are nothing like the Hammerhead.
Most of all, I want ME3 to wrap up Shepard's story with a big fat ol' HEA as she and Kaidan finally get some shore leave.

Oh this is interesting. I wouldn't mind playing through an angsty love triangle between my Shep, Thane and Kaidan.

I couldn't think of anything worse and more cheesy than a love triangle. I definitely don't want to see that in ME3. But as all my shep's stayed faithful to Kaidan I don't have to worry about it, lol

I didn't like the whole Liara Kaidan Shep thing...I don't speak to Liara at all in ME1 for fear I'll accidentally trigger it again. I wouldn't like a Thane, Kaidan, Shepard triangle, either. Can't see Kaidan going for it at all.
