Hey, Night, how's it going? Is Kaidan worried you will be in front of the council accused of murder? Lol!

My biggest problem with Thane...other than him dying and that he fix his screwup with his kid as much as it can be...is the terrible progress of his romance.
T: Let me tell you about my dead wife.
S: Let's have sex!!

The emotion in that so pure and beautiful...:?

I thought the same thing when I first played. Then I went back and actually selected the option. I know it says "I want you Thane" but Shepard actually says, "Maybe I haven't been as up front as I should be. I'm here for you Thane. Whatever you need."

Which is far more tamed and in the friend zone then the option's words seem to convey, as do a number of other conversation options throughout the game. Also, I find it difficult to resist the Siha nick name. I went back to an earlier game save after that first playthrough just to find out what that means, absolutely refuseing to google it. Thank God it's not something mushy as I feared. Being called warrior angel is awesome.

I actually think Thane's romance is the one that's hardly sex focus compared to Garrus and Jacob. It doesn't seem like sex is even mentioned till the last scene. He does talk about his wife and kid, but hell that's his world right there. Other then that, you've got his whole culture to learn about, his training, Shepard can plan a vacation with him. Though it is fast, hey life is short and in the moment sort of thing. The point is about enjoying being alive while you can because anyone can die tomarrow for any reason. If Shepard has feelings for him, it's better to express them than wonder what could have been when it's too late.

I imagine, like the rest of the romances, there will be more to develope in ME3. That's why ME1 romances are nearly non-existant in ME2. In retrospect, everyone gets enough time with Shepard. It's just the ME1 people have been around longer.

@Baal, what do you hope for in the DLC, if there isn't any romantic reference will it annoy you, or are you just glad for the content?

Well, like I said a VS mention would be really cool. First and foremost I'm hoping for Liara romance content and one or more tough decisions - I could see one concerning Feron and one concerning the Shadow Broker (see my poll).
I would be annoyed if there was NO romance content whatsoever, yes btw.

I also hope that it won't take place before the suicide mission (if Liara actually becomes a squadmate to be taken on said mission) and I don't want her to be killable (not that I'd ever let that happen^^). That would be a really bad sign for Liara in ME3.

I think any DLC for Liara, Kaidan and Ashley should be triggered after the suicide mission because it would be a logistic nightmare trying to shoehorn them into the game and would make everything we have been through shallow and pointless and it would bend and twist the storyline in 2 far too much.
At least if it is after then Liara can make promises that she has some things to tie up (not your Shepard ;)) And will 'try', to find a way to join you. Which means that even though she isn't there, the promise is. It will also bode well for us, I guess/hope..............

hmpf XD

Well, if it won't take place after the mission it would make the looking at the picture before the mission strange since if she's on the Normandy, or about to come back, there wouldn't be anything to really feel sad about. I mean, okay she isn't there right in that moment, but as you said, the promise is.

If they make her killable, heads will roll, btw.

I don't know... if Liara becomes killable, doesn't that make the entire cast of squadmates killable, thus making everybody equal and making it more hopeful for everybody involved?

... maybe... not.

I really don't see them making her expendable, they've done that already with Virmire and with the Collector Base and it will get real old real quick + I think they know better if they have read these threads.......... <_<

I think BW mentioned that the Overload DLC would be the last DLC which you can play before or after the suicide mission... So I believe the Liara DLC will take place after the suicide mission imo..

I just wonder how the situation between Cerberus and Shepard will be, after the base got blown up... Will the mention it... or maybe chase the Normandy... Any ideas?

See this is the attitude I just don't get.  I shouldn't be penalised by having Kaidan non existant in ME2 just to satisfy the petty jealousy of other people (because someone might actually get more screen time in game),  who either a) chose not to romance Kaidan and miss out on how awesome he is for whatever reason, or B) were so shallow and fickle that they dropped their pants for the first person who looked at them because Kaidan had the audacity to raise his voice and stick to his principles rather than follow Shepard blindly.

I'd also like to point out that this is actually the Kaidan thread and whilst we do discuss other LI's in comparison to Kaidan, I think that if you want to tell everyone how great you think a particular LI is (other than Kaidan), then you should take it to the appropriate thread.
I am not trying to point the finger at anyone or accuse the person I quoted of this.  I am merely pointing something out.  I am afraid I am not as elequant or diplomatic in my way of speaking/thinking as other people.

Yes BW mentioned that the next DLCs will be bridging DLCs, so I guess post-suicide mission is very likely. *phew*
Now as for Cerberus. They will probably mention it. I guess we'll be able to decide what to do with the information network of the Shadow Broker. Have Liara take over? Give it to Cerberus? EDI?

Suuuure, Baal *smirks* That Shepard and his hidden depths, eh.............................?
Sifting through the Shadow Broker's info is probably going to be Liara's excuse for not coming with you straight away, maybe?

T: Let me tell you about my dead wife.
S: Let's have sex!!

This.  I loved the character of Thane, but I found the responses given to Shepard quite distasteful.  My Shep has been faithful to Kaidan in all playthroughs, but I checked out the final romance scene with Thane on YouTube, and...  "Be alive with me tonight"?  Really, Shepard?  You might as well say: "It doesn't matter that you're dying, because I want to have sex with you."  Did not like.

I mean, if I was going to choose someone other than Kaidan for my Shep, it would be Thane.  But I really wish for better dialogue choice.

Has anyone here seen this interview yet? The first 2 answers I really don't like........that's not cool BW :-/

And there is also this

OT: If Kaidan doesn't make an appearance in the Liara DLC (likely), do you think he'll find out that you've dealt with the Shadow Broker and send you an (answerable!) E-Mail (think Alpha Protocol)?

Do I wish this would happen?  Yes.  Do I think this will happen?  No.  :(

After the email following Horizon (on my first playthrough), I was all keyed up for a post-suicide-mission meet-up on the Citadel.  But the whole thing is just left hanging.  Maybe there'll be a chance during the next "bridge" DLC...?  But I wouldn't hang my hopes on this new Liara one (much as I'm looking forward to it for reasons unrelated to Kaidan).

I doubt there will be anything on Kaidan in it, ffs, Kasumi doesn't even know about the VS and she seems to know everything....<_<
