hmmm... if we're talking characterization in general, i'm not terribly helpful. characters show up in my head fully formed. if i piece them back out, i see influences from real life, but mostly they are just...them. wow, that's not helpful.
i often run my male characters by my husband though for major moments where i'm afraid i might be out of character and he often gives some advice that comes down to "they might think it out afterwards, but at the time, i think they'd just react."
so....? honestly i think i sometimes feel more like i understand kaidan than shep.
edit: also, i am a girl who has frequently been told by my girl friends that i remind them of a guy. this always confused the hell out of me. my husband laughed at that. i suppose it's because i am pretty logical and not very over emotional - most days.

All of this pretty much sums up why I wrote A Woman's Armor. Only I made my Shep a bit more awkward in that dressing up in a feminine manner simply does not come naturally to her and before Kaidan she never really had any reason to learn.sagequeen wrote...
