An actual start - The debrief after EP

I would argue that it started at the beacon on Eden Prime, what with the rescuing of Human-Opposable-Gender-Love-Interest from certain Brain-Frying Insanity.  Unless it's Liara.

But that'd be me, being pedantic.

Edit for a top of the page Kaidan:

Edit again: Actually, I should post this one shouldn't I?  :innocent:

In ME1 there was a dry spell, though. I remember there being a LONG time between my last conversation with Kaidan and Virmire--wondering when in the world he would be willing to talk again.

Thane's romance (from what I've seen on youtube) seems to be slower--and build from a concern/friendship into something more. But still...he's just not...Kaidan.

No offense -- I know that several folks enjoy this shot, but I rofl ever time I see a version of it.  It's gotta be my Mom-genes or something but it always makes me want to start looking for my first aid kit!  Poor Kaidan, where's the Owie? Where did that big bad Geth hurt you?Posted ImagePosted Image      *ducks*

I've never played Sheploo and my husband won't start his game yet for me to see.  Does anyone know--do the reverse Eden Prime events--meaning, Ashley gets pulled by the beacon and Shep pushes her out of the way or is it always Kaidan?

I actually like the post-Eden Prime/beacon moment the best. He's in the medical bay expecting to be chewed out for his role in triggering the beacon and it just seems like he's there to take responsibility. He could easily just be waiting at his station so this comes across as a take-it-like-a-man moment for both Kaidan and Ashley, depending on which Shepard got hurt. I always liked that.

I never blame them for going near the beacon.

I would have said:

"Unless you saw a big flashing sign saying: Warning may pick you up ,scramble your brains, and show you a tripy orange view of the end times. I dont blame you for going near it."

I'll have to try it just to see.  I'm sure I'll feel like I just kicked a puppy, though.

@ Giggles:  I never felt like Kaidan was to blame for the beacon either.  Its tech.  He's the tech guy.  Makes sense he'd want to check it out.

i could not comprehend why you would blame them unless you were playing shep as a total a**. seriously, YOU didn't know what it would do. how they heck should they?

but i can totally see kaidan blaming self though. ash, not as much, i guess.

What sucks after Eden Prime is if you play as a male, you save Ash and she's the only one you can talk to afterwards. You click on Kaidan and all he says is "Glad to see you're ok, Commander."
As a female you can speak to both.

I can see Ash blaming herself--from the standpoint of "Well, cr**.  I've been on the team for all of an hour and I've screwed it up already."
