i could not comprehend why you would blame them unless you were playing shep as a total a**. seriously, YOU didn't know what it would do. how they heck should they?

but i can totally see kaidan blaming self though. ash, not as much, i guess.

I can see Ash blaming herself--from the standpoint of "Well, cr**.  I've been on the team for all of an hour and I've screwed it up already."

She does chew you out the on the Normandy if you second guess her on Eden Prime.

Second guess what?

EDIT:  Kaidan pic needed.  He looks good.  Unfortunately, there's also...that little tart.

@Star concerning the clipping picture:

I so know what you mean, lol. That's why I had to create the 'different angle' version of it because I could just never get passed the rifle knocking him in the head. Protector instinct starts up right away... and at the same time the game-tester in me raises her fists in anger.

Basically take all the renegade paths with her. Tell her to stay in place when you first meet her and Kaidan will insist that taking her is a good move since she knows the area. On the Normandy when you first speak to her she'll call you out on it. I chewed Kaidan out too for getting to close to the beacon and Chakwas defended him from it. Even yelled at Anderson for putting Ash on the ship and got chewed out by him. :o

i like the renegade option with manuel. kaidan's deadpan response is worth it.

@batteries: Ah. I don't take many Renegade options. Only occasionally--esp since the shown paraphrase isn't what is actually said and I've been burned on that before. :P

Kaidan's line is good.  Shepard's line is equally good.  XD

I have never taken the "you were careless" path with Kaidan before so I have no idea what the actual dialogue is. Amusingly enough, I tried to youtube the renegade path in Eden Prime and the people who made the videos all picked the "not your fault" line with Kaidan/Ashley, arrgh. =p

I prefer the neutral/renegade lines, but sometimes the renegade lines really throw me for a loop so I often hit F5 just in case I don't like how the dialogue turned out. One of my favorite renegade snarkfest exchange is with Nassana (on the "recruit Thane" mission). You walk in on her and her guards.

Nassana: "Shepard? But ... you're dead."

Shepard: "I got better."

Nassana: "And now you're here to kill me."

Shepard: [Is that what you think?] "Maybe I just missed you."

Nassana: "Screw you, Shepard."

Shepard: "Charming as ever."

*waves*  Hi Ki!

Yes, the rifle between his ears is definitely problematic and just adds to my desire to search for the 1st aid kit!

But actually, as I said (and no offense intended to those who like this pic), I always rofl at this picture because his facial expression -- to me -- looks more like someone with a big Owie, than someone having a big O.   So Dr. Mom has to control her desire to spring into action. ;)  Posted Image Posted Image

First time I played ME1 I was pretty mean to Kaidan, not knowing there were any love interests available in this game. I was scrambling to make up for my ****y-ness after I found out, though >.<; But he did have a pretty deadpan expression after that "you were careless."

first playthrough, i thought kaidan was the red-shirted ensign. i completely ignored him. but this is why i love that character - come back later and find this gem of a personality/relationship between him and shep. i LOVE me2, don't get me wrong (gameplay alone is awesome) but the romances really leave something to be desired. and by that i mean the dialog options. tried to import my other shep for garrus, but jsut couldn't get past that initial dialog. i had to read sia's stuff to even appreciate garrus that way.

Just dropped in to say hello to everyone. I got my ME novel today started reading it already and all I'm going to say is "I knew I couldn't trust Cerberus!"

Dang, I forgot about that book. I'll have to start looking around for plot details later.

I'm a bit afraid of both of them dancing together after watching them both dance in ME1.

My favorite battle moment:  I discovered those bunkers on the skyway on Noveria for the first time on the 3rd playthrough.  We jump out of the Mako and I start into the bunker.  Before I can even get down the hall, Kaidan has already dashed in and wiped out everything.  He all glowing blue and I couldn't help but think how hot that was.

Favorite other moment?  Night before Ilos, of course.  Posted Image[/quote]

Kaidan pulling a Krogan into the air and my shep shooting it while drifting in an unfortunate area I wasn't aiming for. it was painful to watch.

i love how kaidan dances like the salarians. it's so...dorky! so cute!

favorite battle moments for me, i hate to say, are all me2. i've become addicted to hard core difficulty. now wishing i'd started in on insanity. it's MUCH harder than what i'm used to, but when i pull it off, i feel like a freakin' genius. lol.

so far fave: yesterday i did the haestrom mission - ENDLESS geth drones. i finally realized singularity pins shielded baddies but if they have no shields, they fly - weee! pinned drones, then shot down shields, watching them hit the singularity and get thrown to their death. garrus was knocking them down with overload, too, so for a minute there, all he was saying was "One less to worry about!" "One less to worry about!" "One less to worry about!" "One less to worry about!"

twas hilarious. of course, the moment i start frapsing a battle, i die. just...performance anxiety or something

fave kaidan battle moment, to keep it on topic, is any freakin' time he throws on a barrier. hawt.

OMG we need to demand that Bioware brings back dancing with love interests in ME3. I just realized that *this* is what ME2 was missing all this time.
