I realize this isn't a happy topic, and that it was left behind a few pages ago, but I'm going to bring it up again because I don't think it ended in a good way.

I think we might be getting into censorship a bit too much here...

In ME2, we have our initial Phoenix Armor scene, a little pre-Horizon Kaidan and Lilith scene, Horizon, an email, and then looking at the picture. Taking Horizon out of that...we don't exactly have much ME2 footage left to work with.

The Garrus conversation was a Garrus plus Kaidan conversation. Did it include Garrus? Yes. Did it also get people to talk about Kaidan's personality and analyze what we think his feelings and thoughts are? Yes. How is that a bad thing?

If we take out Kaidan-plus-anything-else...and we take our Horizon...and we take out any discussions about Kaidan that might cause some people to disagree with each other, then what does that leave us with?

Fanfic updates and friendly helloes between the nonlurkers? How is this supporting Kaidan? Should I bring up the fact that some people don't read fanfic? There seem to be enough people who are interested in fanfic to make it worthwhile to be a part of this thread. So maybe everyone should just accept that they don't need to respond to everything every one else says if they don't like the topic?

If a discussion includes other characters, good. The more extra stuff involved in the discussion, the more ways we are able to look at Kaidan and possibly find new things to think about him. And if the extra stuff is something like a dislike of Thane or Jacob, then anyone who wants to defend them should be able to in a non-Kaidan related defense—because the bashing was brought up in the original Kaidan discussion and if something is bashed, then something has the right to be defended.

Kaidan in relation to anything is a valid thing to bring up in this thread. Everyone should make attempts to stay in a Kaidan-like direction, but anything on the massive ban-this and ban-that scale just seems silly to me.

I'm a partial lurker... well, mostly a lurker, but I agree. If you don't like something, sometimes it's best to just roll with it and let it be.

I don't have a problem with Rahna at all. I'm more curious about Kaidan's unknown exes. He didn't actually have anything with Rahna, but he has been with women before. I always place more importance on these unmentioned ones, but, since they're never brought up and are completely unknown, I don't think they get hated enough. I guess it is the same with how I have no problem with the mysterious doctor because Kaidan specifically said there was nothing serious, but I loathe Lilith with a passion.

I was in a very foul mood yesterday and stayed out of the topic, especially after Batteries' Garrus picture was said to be Kaidan-unrelated and therefore didn't belong in this thread. I sometimes feel that the fear of this thread getting closed is big, especially when I compare it to the other character threads, where going OT over several pages is no problem at all, since most people return to the thread topic easily on their own.

I find it sad, that things are often shut down because they are just not Kaidan related, although the discussions origin in this thread and often develop in a great way, until someone steps in and yells You're OT - Go back to talking about Kaidan! i for myself often just feel lectured then and treated like I have done something wrong. And I also often think twice before I post something, if I really wanna say it or not.

So, yeah, I really do enjoy our OT discussiona and would love for them to continue, because I have faith that everyone knows when to go back to the original topic of this thread.

He's died quite a few times on Virmire for me like Ash. Only imported 3 Sheps to ME2 though.

Once, accidentally, because I thought, I could save both.
Am currently on a parallel renegade femshep PT of ME1 and plan on saving Ash this time, so Kaidan will be Virmired.

I've never been able to leave Kaidan on Virmire. I even made dudeSheps to try to romance Ashley but I just can't do it. I also cannot do a renegade playthrough. I hope Ash gets a completely different story from Kaidan in ME3 so I have some incentive to try again.

And I let Kaidan die twice on Virmire, both from my first pre-Virmire assault save, both immediately after I'd completed it once, just to see how the different permutations played out.  I didn't play past talking to Ashley on those times, though, so the serious answer is Ashley's never made it through one of my games.  Miss her.

I know a day or two ago I mentioned something about Hawke's voice should be Gordon Ramsay just for the lols, and I think the thread was pretty slow at the time anyway. After that, I remember someone mentioning not liking him because he dislikes vegetarians or something and it kinda developed from there. I didn't mean for it to just by doing that, but I still felt a little strange.

Toes get stepped on, feelings get hurt. We're all very different people but we all like Kaidan and that's why we're here. Also the lack of good news for us gets everyone in a pissy mood sometimes. Liara fans are getting their DLC soon, Kasumi doesn't mention the VS...but we're not giving up.

I tried to romance Ash as a maleShep once. I Virmired Kaidan and never played that game. It's interesting to note that I've never allowed my husband to let Kaidan die on virmire.

And yeah, those are tied together. Jealous person=kind of person who doesn't allow her husband to just play games...

Maybe she died or cheated on him, something to just add onto his shoulders.

Hmm, I shouldn't dislike Rhana, or Lilith or the doctor. They were there to take care of Kaidan during a time that I couldn't and they obviously have steller taste. Hopefully, though when Shepard comes back, she can reunite with him and stuff...and they can go somewhere...else. Yeah....

Tali thread does move fast and shutting it down will just open up another that will have 1000 pages in a couple days. I dunno, this is a pretty big stealth thread since nobody is supposed to like Kaidan, I'm curious if any devs actually ever pop in to scout about.
