Getting caught up - oh, I hate that i'm in different time zones from so many of you, but ah well...

freeway, i think you have a good point and you put it very well. if the topic is kaidan, it's on topic, and if people don't like the topic, they can lurk. i think it *is* fair to note, though, that garrus comes up a lot and that does bother some. sometimes the discussion becomes more garrus than kaidan. also, i think the game almost deliberately rubs your face in garrus' loyalty vs. kaidan's leaving. i think it makes sense that each character does what they do: i love garrus, but his vigilante ways concerned me always. i prefer kaidan's more rule-following charm. BUT that's a personal thing. still, i think some people are a little sore over how the game let you save one guy and then romance him, let you save the other and he yells at you.
also, i think the fact that garrus scores so high in popularity sometimes annoys folks here. it's like you wish him well and all, but if the devs listen to popularity polls, they might ignore kaidan for garrus? just thinkin' out loud here.

Citadel Doctor/Lilith: i find neither threatening and i don't think kaidan had sex with either. "i'd finally let my friends convince me to go out for drinks with a doctor on the citadel. nothing serious, just letting myself have a life again, you know?" key words: finally, let, convince, drinks, nothing-serious (okay, 2 words there), letting myself, life again. To me, NOT the words of a man who chose the date, had more than 1 date, wanted the date, or even thought of it AS a date. i do not see "i don't have sex casually" kaidan doing anything here. it certainly would throw shep for a loop, but i don't see it as meaning anything other than.... well, working on that chapter. and lilith? nothing. the guy doesn't ask about her after the attack, doesn't mention her in the email. doesn't say "oh, hey, get my buddy lilith back." he scarcely even looks at her as the attack comes in. maybe she liked him, but *shrug* i played a maleshep first and she acts the same way to ash. totally didn't see anything there.

biotics? always. i LOVE biotics. it's like jedi powers, but without all the inherent narrative problems of the force (because really, the force can do ANYTHING and that sort of makes it hard to limit it, you know? gets to be the "fix all" anyhow...) biotics are hot. and being the only other biotic on the ship...well, it just makes sense for a bond to form. i loved playing with the idea of biotics in my little pointy head...
morning all!
