She works, out, she's been upgraded... she can deadlift another Marine. No one's seen GIJane???

I have no problem believing that Kate could very easily deadlift Kaidan even before all the Cerberus upgrades.

Sia, love the addition to the sig. Posted Image

LOL, figured I'd better put it in there before someone stole it. ;)

I actually don't have a problem with it either.  They're not that much different in height.  It's not like Moira (my elf mage) deadlifting Alistair or even Zevran without her magic to augment her.  Shep and Kaidan are only a few inches in height difference and she's a pretty strong chick.  She goes toe to toe with krogan battlemasters, for crying out loud.

Ooops, Top o' The Page:

Yeah, she's not exactly weak, not that I ever thought she was. When I first played ME1 back in 2008, I was like "woah". I still react the same to this day.

;)

i remember seeing someone (sorry to say, it was a dude) saying that femshep rescuing kaidan at the bomb on virmire was dumb because (and i quote) "girls can't do that"

*rolls eyes* stupidity abounds. i have a fire-fighter friend (a girl) who can easily lift her brothers, and they are NOT small guys. incidentally, she's a major inspiriation for kyrie...

Truthfully, I don't see why Shepard wouldn't be able to lift Kaidan.  Upgrade packages (ahem) or no.  I thought lifting soldiers was part of the job description.  XD

I don't have a problem believing it either.  She's special forces for goodness sake.
I think the armor helps as well.  She'd just have to lift with her legs.  And Kaidan is muscular, but he is lean muscle not bulky really--Alistair would weight more, I would expect.  Her armor would help to take the weight off of her actual shoulder--to spread the force of his weight.  And his armor keeps him relatively steady.
Add all the adrenaline coursing through her and her determination not to lose him...I can see it easily.

And I love wacthing her rescue him like that.  So heroic and romantic, too.  Posted Image

QFT.

And they do have those nifty handles on the armor... around the hips... to grab...

Handles on the...*scrolls up*

Armour. Ah. Truly, this must be what the gutter feels like.

Ah, I like that armour too. Makes me think of Kaidan in Phoenix Armour...I always wondered how that happened at the start of ME2. I was so confused, I was like 'BioWare are pulling our leg?', 'surely that must be because of Ashley...', heck I even made pie charts about it. Still, no clue. I blame Shepard for it, always.

And thus was created another meaning for the word 'manhandling' or maybe we should just change it to 'man-handling' or 'man-handled'

Reminds me of the lovely nicknames Jho has received, heh.

Oddly, the first time I played ME2, I don't think he was in the Pheonix armor.  I think it imported what he was in at the end of my ME1 game--I don't remember the name of it that HX something green camo stuff.  So was my Shep.

But when I played a second time through with Kimbri, he was in the Phoenix.

Yeah, I thought the armour carried through for a moment, but then I realised I didn't have the heart to make Kaidan wear Phoenix Armour in the first game, haha. Although poor Garrus had to wear it since I accidentally sold all of his other armours. Oops.

That bump in Kaidan's hair had better be the basis of a sidequest in Mass Effect 3. If not, someone's getting a very strongly-worded email. Hah.

*cry*

question: how long do you think ME mission-time takes?

i gathered ME1 takes place over the space of about 9 months, so a full year after it begins is when shep dies.

ME2??? - horizon happens, what? 6 weeks-2 mo. after being back from the dead? how long do you think the prep for the collector attack took? felt faster - like...4-6 mo from waking to suicide mission?
