I always put ME1 at 1 year (travel time must be included) and ME2 at 6 months.

ETA:  I need to steal more pics:

And thus was created another meaning for the word 'manhandling' or maybe we should just change it to 'man-handling' or 'man-handled'

Reminds me of the lovely nicknames Jho has received, heh.

question: how long do you think ME mission-time takes?

i gathered ME1 takes place over the space of about 9 months, so a full year after it begins is when shep dies.

ME2??? - horizon happens, what? 6 weeks-2 mo. after being back from the dead? how long do you think the prep for the collector attack took? felt faster - like...4-6 mo from waking to suicide mission?

I always gathered that ME1 takes over a shorter span of time than ME2, just for two main reasons; one, the Collectors were a much tougher opponent, taking more preparation, and two, I've always thought that Kaidan knew Shepard dead longer than he did alive...if that made any sense at all. I would have figured that Horizon was a few months into the actual mission, so your estimates would make perfect sense to me. ^_^

yeah, 5'9" 5'10" i'd say. i don't know why i say this. mebbe because that's about my height? i remember someone saying once that kaidan was 5'11", sheploo is slightly taller at about 6'1".

i'm completely making this up. lol. no clue

re: timing - i think i'm with you sia. i felt like me1 took longer because it seemed... a LOT of running around on planets. me2 seemed more compacted. dunno. 6 mo. k. works for me.

Kaidan's slightly taller than mShep, but it's probably just his hair... they use the same model.

I'd guess that the female models are about 5'9" or so as well... they look slightly taller than average.

And you want her close in height to him but just a bit shorter.  If he's 5'11", then I'd go with 5'9" or even 5'8".  If you watch the scene on Horizon, he's clearly a couple inches taller (not including hte hair bump).

I think Kaidan looks taller than Sheploo does, but all the male models should be the same. I'd peg them at 6 feet though. I'm just a little over 5'7, so that seems right.

I figure it's in the 6 month range too, but I've been skipping the exact timing by just referencing unspecific amounts of time, like "a few months" or just "months". It gives me wiggle room in the event that an eventual time frame is given by BW.

Also, my work laptop decided that I no longer needed the "E" key today, so I had to sacrifice my free USB port in order to plug in a keyboard. So, instead of getting to work on the next chapter of my Shenko fic (which was on my flash drive of course), my muse started playing around with the whole Kaidan and Alexis meeting for the first time.

So that chapter may be completely derailed as she wants to finish that now.

No idea, but this picture never fails to make me lol because it's what I thought when I first noticed the hair bump not long after meeting him.

Toward the end of ME1 Ashley says, in one of her conversation options, that it's been "a few months."

ME1 *was* considered a race against time to stop Saren, after all. The ridiculous and optional sidequests and Mako meandering made it seem longer, but I'd like to think that in actuality, Shepard did not, in fact, put off saving Liara, hundreds of colonists, pursuing Benezia, or confronting Saren to go look at some minerals and chase space monkeys.

ME2 was worth it just to slug that pyjack and blow them up on Tuchanka.

That is Bioware listening to fans right there!

Though I doubt Kaidan would like Shepard doing that.

Hugs!! Thanks Nighty!!

And I just started another ME 1 playthrough... and as always, I feel sad about Nihilus dying. For some reason I really like him.
Now, if he had survived and had become somthing like a mentor to Shepard and had thus spent a lot of time with her... well, I don't know but somehow I could see Kaidan being a bit jealous. It's one of those pointless mindtwists that appear in my head... can't help it and I'll just turn the randomness off.
