No, Chem, they'll stop eventually. But it sure seems endless, especially on insanity!

meh, i'm not that patient.  after five minutes there's still bad guys the cain hasn't taken out, it's time to cloak and run.

just taking a break from getting killed by husks....

Great... so much things to read...;)

goes back...hoping to kill the husks this time...

the artifact level they just keep coming.

I killed them... :D I'm playing still my first hardcore playthrough...
Just to imagine Insanity makes me shiver... But that does not mean that I won't try it next....;)
And watching Kaidan using lift, throw and barrier ...*sighs*

oh you're playing the first one.  my bad.  yeah.  i used to love to take him and liara with my vanguard.  they'd clear a biotic path before i could even hit the power wheel.

I was like, "Guys!" *stamps foot.  "I wanna kill people too.  Hello? Hero."  *indicated self.

Hey Aslana. You're playing the first game on Hardcore? How is that going? I usually play ME1 on Insanity, more fun that way :-)

@ Chem, that's true...lol...

I had this feeling in some situations, too... I felt good prepared, but Kaidan and Liara were faster...lol...

well, one would hope.  you could always be like our dispatches who like to leave out little details like, this isn't a residence or I don't know, apartment building numbers.  Per chance they would like us to knock door to door, get to know the community...

I don't know how much interest this would be to you guys, but I was working on a timeline for Jack's age, biotic training, and escape from Teltin. This required working on the timeline for all biotics, which naturally brought Kaidan into the mix. I thought maybe you guys would like to take a look, perhaps mention your own observations and theories.

... just finnished dinner... yeah.... It is my first playthrough in Hardcore... Well, first is was like:blink:...sometimes made me:crying: or:bandit:... but now it´s like :o... (even so I still get killed more often as I did in my casual playthroughs) I had to learn to cover and use a little bit more tactics...

@Night...
*stratching the head* call me stupid, but what do you mean with details...blame it on the lack of english knowledge...

to get back on topic...:P

yes, it helps if our sentinel skills (for kaidan relatedness) actually get to where we're supposed to be.  We kept driving up and down the same patch of road screaming at each other that this address doesn't exist.  radioed dispatch and they're like, oh yeah it's such and such apartments.  things that were said after i unkeyed the mic were profane and vivid.

I thought that "apology" was funny. "Oh, I didn't plagiarize anything, I just wrote down the words from those fics as I remembered them and tried to pass them off as my own." Journalism student, my big fat arse.
Anyway, you know what I would really like in ME3? A second chance to start a romance with Kaidan or Ashley. I've got a Spacer Shep who didn't romance him because she was worried about taking advantage of a subordinate, and it would be nice if she could still get together with Kaidan at the end of ME3. The Kaidan romance is already one of the best because it progresses slowly, and I think it would be really great if he and Shep would get together when the whole Reaper mess is finally over. They would have been through so much together - Virmire, Ilos, Shepard's death, Horizon, and whatever happens in ME3. Probably not going to happen, though, but I can dream. ;)

I'd love to see people be able to pick up a ME1 LI in ME3. It'd be a very realistic kind of love story where Shepard and A/K/L were friends with Shepard.

And I don't think it's too far out of the realm of possibility; there was that line from Kelly asking every Shepard if they cared for the VS.

If you throw Miranda into the biotics timeline with the age she was given in the official promos, you come across something that's really saddening:

With her age and the ages that puberty begin and the time that implants happen, she doesn't really fit into any category of implant type, except for maybe L1, maybe a retrofit L3. She's just slightly older than Kaidan and that puts her into a bad cutoff for implants.

hmmm...that makes her father double the bastard for messing with her genes.  one thing to give your kid an ability that's been working a few generations.  a completely different thing to force something that might kill them upon your child.

Well, the thing is that when she would have been a teen is when they discovered the link between biotics and eezo. So that means they either gave her eezo while she was in her test tube for the hell of it or they accidentally introduced her to eezo in her test tube. Either way, it wouldn't make sense to do that to your extremely expensive project just for the hey of it.

Miranda does mention she was the first one her father bothered to keep, which could mean a very long list of failures. Testing adding biotics after birth? Did speculate in the Jack thread that part of the Teltin project was actually taking a normal kid and making her a biotic. Seems right up there with the Illusive Man's plans for humanity.

But Miranda's age on the official website drives me crazy. So do the ages for Grunt, Mordin, Samara, and Zaeed. The only way I can make Miranda's age work for me is that she was grown at an accelerated rate before being "birthed."

How can Grunt's age bother you?  He's a test tube baby, a tank, came out fully grown.
