In my mind, someone of mixed alignment is best for Garrus. I think being frustrated about red tape or rules would work well with Garrus.
On that note - how does everyone play their Kaidan romancing Shepards? What kind of Shepard do you think works best with him (if you think there is any particular kind)?
edit: it's cold on noveria. kaidan wants to be warm...

the shep that ended up being a garrus romance (sorry, off topic for a moment for comparison purposes) was my spacer-sole survivor. she was just so...effing messed up. i saw her as this person who just couldn't open up to crew because of akuze. garrus seemed to get past that for her because she was not expecting friendship/romance from a non-human. HOWEVER, i couldn't get past the initial dialog of the garrus romance and complete playing that shep. so - that was the end of her.
kyrie, my main, colonist/war hero, biotic (adept). colonist because she secretly wants a family and friends again, but isn't sure she "deserves" it or can ever have it. war hero because...i just loved that one. so many props. i wrote it as not sunshine and bunnies, but i loved it too much not to choose it. adept because i love biotics and it felt like the two of them bonded over that similarity. paragon, but kind of b*tchy about it - felt like again, kaidan would note and appreciate the paragon moves, but be able to see past the icy exterior.
totally my own take on kaidan, though. i guess i sort of make chars and they play themselves. they have a nasty habit of getting away from me.
