I was more saying that I doubt the whole VS act on Horizon was an act.
I think they were geunily hurt, and peeved enough to not listen
I also was only indicating that the email leaves no hint as to them doing that.
Also Horizon is still a piece of Bantha Poodo.

I think they wrote the Horizon scene primarily for Ashley. As was done for other scenes as well, it appears.

I really liked Kaidan. He's got a level head to him and I will be excited to have him back on my Shepard's team. For whatever reason, though, they put more effort into Ashley content than Kaidan content. I noticed that a few scenes in the games seemed to have built around Ashley and then they transplanted Kaidan in.
1. After Eden Prime, all Shepards get to talk to Ashley about the mission. Male Shepards however cannot talk to Kaidan.
2. Before you land on Ilos, the Virmire Survivor gets panicky. I thought this was out of character for Kaidan. I've never had Kaidan die, but I heard that the dialog is exactly the same for both characters. I think Ashley would be far more likely to freak out.
3. At the start of Mass Effect 2, Kaidan & Liara wear Ashley's trademark phoenix armor.
4. Like #2, Horizon dialog is much more suited for Ashley than Kaidan.

that's what i'm worried about as well. they're not even remotely similar characters.TeenZombie wrote...
Kaidan being an alternate version of Ashley in ME3 is one of my worst fears for the game.

Agreed. I don't think that even a romanced Kaidan would be as emotional and unable to listen to reason (at least with an audience right there) as he appears in the game. He is very reserved, and has had the experience of being judged unfairly as an L2 biotic, so it would make sense for him to maybe have a moment of anger and doubt, and then ask for an explanation. Ashley seems like more of a passionate, speak-first-regret-later type, at least when it comes to someone she loves...but even she would have hung around for more than a few minutes, and would have wanted Shepard to say more than he/she did.

however... i hate to say it, but i feel like kaidan has a much better chance of making it back as a LI and a starring role as he's the flip side of ashley's record, as it were. i know i may get some grief for saying so, but hey, you gotta admit, if they cut kaidan, they cut ash. i'd love to have some differences of char in there, but on the other hand, it does up the likelihood of kaidan being back in a big way.<_<
