So he's gonna have to go all the way down to the cargo bay to get his clothes?  Huh.  If anyone didn't know about him and Shepard before... I suspect they do now.  XD

And it explains the phoenix armor - if someone's been systematically removing Kaidan's clothes, he's gotta wear something, right?

Cold?  I dunno.  I always felt he was very warm.  He's got a sense of humor about almost everything and he seems to be very excitable around Shepard, at least.

I'm sticking with my introvert theory.  He's personable on his own terms, but maybe his initial caution (and being a biotic) prevents other people from approaching him and getting past the quiet, professional side. 

I guess that whole inexperience with opening up thing doesn't help either.
I think my rough week at work wasn't helping my frustration level with the character.
But I had some fighting/flirting therapy with Carth and its all better now.   

Love the new photo at the top of the page.  Biotic god Kaidan is always good. 

EDIT:  Just noticed his pants are undone.

Honestly, some days I worry that I'm too pessimistic to post in this thread, I don't want to bring people down.  But it's always good for morale to lurk here and read all the fanfiction and see all the awesome art.  So most of the time, I am hopeful for a great role for Kaidan in ME3.  And then the wait will have been worth it!

Carth therapy is good.  Very good.   Might give it a try myself (in the form of working on Truth and Lies) when I finish redoing this fanart.  Don't worry; I promise the next Poser project will be Shenko.  My muse already has an idea.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but has anyone thought about what they'd say in a reply email to Kaidan? It would be tricky because Cerberus would likely read it.

I might mention that I'd found evidence that notable Cerberus atrocities were committed by renegade splinter groups. That might indicate (I'd say to him) that the core organisation might not be as evil as it's generally perceived to be. And that I'm using their resources to do something good.

I'd stress to him that I'd stay on my guard, and that the Shepard he knew hasn't changed. And I'd say I was sorry for all he went through when I died, and that I miss him. Don't know if I'd lay my heart completely on the line, seeing as he didn't.

For anyone hoping to bring down or leave Cerberus after the mission is over, I'm not sure how you'd hint that to him safely?

You'll find a lot of information and ideas if you check the author list. A lot of people actually started to write ff because they hated Horizon and because we lacked the option to respond. Nightodie has a list in her signature which might help you find those.

As for worrying about Cerberus reading it... my Sheppy is very Paragon and very clear on her opinion about Cerberus, which doesn't stop her from speaking her mind. Kaidan is already in a potential dangerous web due to his connection - telling him what she feels won't change much.

According to EDI, TIM has his eyes on every facet of Cerberus going - there are no "renegade splinter groups"... unless you count the Lazarus cell after Shepard is placed in command of it, I guess.

I've tried writing out my Shepard's letter before, and it's a jumbled mess.  And it would probably make matters worse between them.  For a start, though, she wouldn't send it through the Cerberus network.

As for bringing down Cerberus... Cerberus seems to turn a blind eye to Shepard's anti-Cerberus habits whenever they come up, so I doubt saying so would instill much wrath - tIM doesn't seem to expect you to live past the suicide mission anyway.

I was trying to come up with VAs who could keep up with Sbarge. Valentine did a lovely job for Alistair but outside of BW, I think the best is Tercelin Kirtley. Gosh I loved his VA in Dark Messiah - a game with one of the best cinematic ever... *randomness off*

In my mind, I did have my Shepard write back.  Its in my sig.

I got around the "Big Brother is watching" problem by talking EDI into sending it without tipping off Miranda after EDI is unshackled and before going through the Omega 4 Relay.
My Shepard, Kimbri, is very "what you see is what you get."  It hurt her that Kaidan thinks that she is currently lying to him and/or that she's been lying to him all along.
She knew Kaidan well enough that she could see beyond the words to the intent behind the text.  To her, he did lay himself rather bare in the e-mail--all of his hurt, confusion, love, uncertainty, and hesitancy to get hurt again.  She couldn't help but be completely honest with him in return.
