ah...that was...intentional. 

well, not to put it up as 45, but to put it up as 10. i got myself confused as to where i was going. i've been cleaning house in chosen and valkyrie a little. i re-worked the first 6 chapters of valkyrie - just had to tidy up before i felt like i could move on.

edit: that sounded really loopy. what i was trying to say was that i found some old flashback chapters, did some clean up work, etc. i wanted to have my mental slate clean as i went into the 2nd half of ME2...which is sort of boring to write because there is no kaidan. so i'm going to make some up

I'd say sides/ribs too.   But my Shep would check everywhere.   I'll have to slip it into my FF somewhere, hopefully someplace subtle so it doesn't seem gratuitous!

Of course you have to check everywhere! 
And fun chapters/sections are needed sometimes to break up angst or serious stuff.
Perhaps they got a little tipsy?  Or Kaidan was a little looped up on some pain meds--so he let down his guard a little.

I can't read sad Kaidan fics right now.  Too close to my own pessimistic views on what might happen to him in the third game.  I was fine with them after ME1, and I'll probably have no problem with them after we get a happy ending in ME3, but right now, I want to imagine shiny fluffy nice things for him and Shepard.

Then you'll love Shenzi's fic and this chapter in particular...it's as fluffy and shiny as can be!

Have faith.  The second act of any 3 act play is a downer.  Then the 3rd act is happier.  Tragedies don't usually have the "down" in the middle the same way.

so true. just like i should have known something was up when da:o had alistair being so awesome only halfway through the game. i should have known the other shoe would drop. i just look at my lit theory and all the set up for horizon/email/me3 and think "whew!"

sort of like stranger than fiction: are you in a tragedy or a comedy? (<-- k random reference, clearly need to crash for the night)

I'd like the opposite - I want to see Shepard being submissive once in my life, and not because some asari is meddling with her head.
I truly believe Kaidan could  win against my Soldier. He can overheat my weapons in the first place, so I would be left only with shields, AB, and Throw and Immunity, and completely defenseless against biotics.
But in ME2, Sentinel vs Sentinel... Ha, hard to imagine.
