Sleepy time down here.

I love these lucious pics of Jho's -- they're all fantastic! <3 I'm still waiting for Louvette to get on board and do Kaidan. I thought she did a great job with Carth; it can't have been easy to recreate a char from such an old game.

So, a question for Kaidan fans to try to liven up this thread: his father retired to Vancouver, right? You think Kaidan (or Kaidan Sr.) is a Vancouver Canucks fan? :P

Good morning, Ladies!

I was wishing there was a button for pin him to the wall and kiss him.

I'd like the opposite - I want to see Shepard being submissive once in my life, and not because some asari is meddling with her head.
I truly believe Kaidan could  win against my Soldier. He can overheat my weapons in the first place, so I would be left only with shields, AB, and Throw and Immunity, and completely defenseless against biotics.
But in ME2, Sentinel vs Sentinel... Ha, hard to imagine.

Morning!

True.  I'd like to see Kaidan in charge, too.  But we don't get to control him.  Just Shep.  so...
I loved in DA how you could get Alistair to kiss you whenever you wanted.  Wished that Zev had the same option.  Definitely the option with Kaidan would be great, but unrealistic unless you could opt to take only one character with you on a mission.

I've played an Adept and a Sentinel.  I think it would likely be an equal match, however, there are allusions to the fact that Shepard's L3 spikes are higher than his L2.  *shrugs*  I think Shepard is more likely to play more dirty in a fight than him as well.
@being a Canucks fan:  Yeah.  Why not?  He seems the type to like sports--playing and watching.
Along that line of him living in Vancouver...he said that his father was retired by the First Contact war.  Kaidan was about 6.  So his father was quite a bit older than the usual.  And so his mother was a descent amount younger than his father.  Interesting...

Going off to read Sage's Vallhalla...

@Jade: His father wasn't necessarily significantly older. His father likely enlisted at 18, and even if he served only say 20 years (using that because that's how long my dad and most of his friends who were "long term" military served), he'd only be 38 when he "retired". Kaidan never really mentions how old his parents are, and given that humans are living to about 150 at this point in the timeline, his parents could have been in their early to mid-thirties when he was born. That's not really old.

If you are on the PC then you can get a fix that restores Zevran and Leliana's public kiss.

Out of the Dragon Age cast I think that Kaidan would get along well with Alistair and Leliana.

I dont think he is a real dog person though.

Hmmm...okay.  I was thinking typical retirement age.
But even if lifespan is increased, it doesn't mean the reproductive age for women would necessarily change.  There is a theory that it has to do with how many oocytes (eggs) are used.  There are a certain number that are grown (all but one--sometimes two die off) per cycle.  So when you run out, that's menopause.  Even medical tech can't make new ones.  However, if they suppress the whole cycle...by then the hormones would be out of sync.  *shrugs*

@Giggles:  That's cool.  :)  But I play on PS3.  And when I tried to get the Carth kiss patch for KOTOR on the computer, all it did was crash the game before the scene.  Oh and made Juhani hit on me for some reason.  Posted Image

Good Morning!

Thedas is sucking me back in. I think Kaidan would be amused by Alistair and wouldn't trust Leliana further than he could throw her.

Or Morrigan for that matter.
Or Zev definitely.  Gosh.  Talk about an opposite!
He'd like Winne.

Yeah, Kaidan and Alistair and Wynne would get along well.  Zevran would make him both suspicious and embarrassed, I'd imagine.  He'd probably not approve of Leliana's profession, but her current faith in the Maker would be something he'd respect.  Oghren would just make fun of him, I think...

Yesterday we discussed our favorite Kaidan battle moment. So here's a question for you all this morning.

What is your favorite Kaidan smile?

Mine is this one:

Good point, Sapphy.

To Jade: It happens sometimes, though, that a man who marries a woman much younger than him has children late in life. I'll have you know that my dad was 50 when I was born and my mom is 13 years younger than him.

Garbled version of Little Pike Twirler.
An Oghern, AListair, and Wynne banter.

IN short Oghern teases Alistair for spinning a pike around a little goofy, but Wynne mistakes his line and thought that Alistair was playing with his "pre-supplied pike". Good banter but hard to miss since its a later banter between the two of them.

Also I am chatting, typing a paper, and listening to music so my bad on the quote.Posted Image

I understand the limitations and time restrictions on the female reproductive system. However, early to mid-30s is still not outside the realm of motherhood for women. Just because Kaidan's father was "retired" doesn't mean that he necessarily was married to a woman significantly younger. It's certainly plausible, but it's not impractical for her to have been closer in age to Kaidan's father.

And, just because his father was retired by the time the First Contact War started, and Kaidan was 6 then, doesn't mean that Kaidan wasn't born before he retired. Kaidan's father may have retired a year before the war. There's alot that has to be guessed at currently if you are looking at Kaidan's family.

Late 30's is also still a plausible reproductive age.

Very much so.

Quite honestly, thanks to medical innovations especially in fertility treatments where we currently are, it's not impractical or implausible for women in their 40s and 50s to start having children - and naturally.

Yep, Sia; if you do the math from what I said earlier, my mom was 37 when she had me.

I don't do math.  I'm allergic.  :D

I was more speaking from my own experience.  I'm 36 and due to a thyroid issue, I'm finally starting fertility drugs.  It has nothing to do with menopause, though.  I will be an older mother.
