In a Kaidan world where most people are off doing things on the weekend? And I'm trying with marginal success to stay focused on my fic.

Edited for top of the page Kaidan

Wonderful moment, indeed. One I wish we'd gotten earlier, as I love the sniper rifle.
On another note, anyone know this comic? I thought it was really well done.

Yea I like that one. Aimo does great work and it makes me hope for a touching reunion where Shepard has one tear because she isn't sure how he will react and to have him touch her face like that and wipe it away. *sigh* but no, instead we get emotionless "been a long time, how ya doin" Shep >.<

Replaying Kaidan's romance for the first time in two years. I'd forgotten how good it is, and how much it adds to his character. There may have been giggling and sighing when he talked about the books he read as a kid.

Exactly, Quaay. I couldn't believe the things that came out of my Shep's mouth.

"I could use someone like you on my crew, Kaidan. It'll be just like old times." Ouch.

He really looks older in that one!

The comic is great!

@Chignon:  Yeah.  Shepard's dialogue is definitely cringe-worthy.  No wonder the poor guy's response is all over the board.  He can't tell what to think/feel from her reactions.

Well time to go swimming  Posted Image

Re: Kaidan's Dad & Vancouver

I think that Kaidan's dad was a bit older and his mother a bit younger (both being relative: his father could have been in his 60s and his mother could easily have been in her 30s or 40s - this being THE FUTURE), and I think his father was set to retire around the time that Kaidan was born.  He retired before the first contact war could mean any time, but I thought maybe he was coming home when Kaidan was exposed to the element zero.  Although I also thought that he might have served for one term, then had a civilian job, then retired, so...

And I think Kaidan may be marginally interested in hockey at the very least, but I do not know much about it, so I couldn't comment on his preferences.

Re: Smiles

Prob'ly this one:

The one on Horizon, too, just before the hug, I like.  ... really, anytime, I guess, 'cause he just looks nice when he smiles.  ^_^

Re: Shepard and Kaidan in a fight

It  really depends on the Shepard, but for my gal...

... In a real fight, my Shepard would fight dirty, and Kaidan might hold back.  Kaidan, however, has stasis and overload and neural shock and things, while my Shepard has guns and grenades.  My Shepard would also go for the, er... weak points if she felt pressed.

... so... whichever.  XD

Re: Training areas on the Normandy

I don't think there are any, although they might convert the garage/cargo area from time to time... I thought it was supposed to be like a submarine, all packed in, which is one of the reasons why I dislike the SR2.  It's too... spacious.

This is what I was thinking.

On a side note, I ordered a N7 Shirt from the BW site to wear at a con in two weeks.  $12 on sale--unfortunately shipping isn't cheap.  But I'll be sporting my love for ME.  Posted Image

Yeah, it's really a shame that he's the character whose development suffers the most in ME1 if you don't romance him.  He would probably get a lot less hate or apathy from Male Shep players if the devs had realized back then that dudes can be bros without catching "teh ghey". :P

Thanks, Jade, and thanks for the review.

Sappy found me an N7 background for my new iPhone. I'm not quite brave enough to put Kaidan on it yet, though. ;)

Sometimes that means that you have to just come back to it.  Or write a different part.
Forcing it doesn't usually work well.
