The Hammerhead blows.  Gimme the Mako anyday over that thing.

I hate that thing with a passion! One of the reason apart from the non-existent squad member interaction why I don't like the Overlord DLC not as much as I thought I would.

I can't fly the thing worth a darn.  Although hitting the cows is fun.  LOL
I've never been able to do all the DLC for that Firewalker or whatever.  Again, can't fly the damn thing.
I did like the Overlord story, though.

The cows!

Well, all you get for completing the Firewalker DLC is your own Prothean paperweight - so don't worry about that.
The story was good, yes. I nearly jumped out of my skin, though, the first time David's face appeared out of nowhere.  "Make it stop!" - creepy. Posted Image

Edit:

There you go.

"Cerberus did WHAT?"

oh, why does angry kaidan have to be so hot?

what is this announcement? anyone have a link? i do not speculate anything at this point. i am too busy speculating on what cerberus will turn out to have been plotting in me3

Why?  "cause he's so carefully controlled a lot of the time.  Him letting his passionate emotions break through--even if its anger?  mmm...any passionate Kaidan is good.  Posted Image

Yeah.  Although walking through "the matrix" was pretty cool.

I didn't get Overlord...I will get the Liara DLC though. I hope its post-suicide mission because that's all I really want at this point. Just a hint of Kaidan would be nice.

okay, night found this in your album - i love this:

Posted Image

so, if there was to be a Kaidan Loyalty Mission, what would it be? (forgive me if this was discusses at some point. i obviously missed it if it was)

Should you do something to prove your loyalty to the Alliance? Could you renegade him to Cerberus if you gave them the base and worked with them willingly?

While i'm tempted to say it should just consist of make-out scenes, that wouldn't work for the non-romanced case. but should a smex reunion be in there?

curious

Trying..to keep...mind...out of...gutter.
I failed.
You have him in your quarters for the night and how many times you can make him

Okay, back out of the gutter...
That's kinda difficult.  We don't know if he has sibs (although I doubt it from lack of indication, his mother and the eezo exposure).  The father thing was done.
Perhaps his mother?  But the family stuff just doesn't feel right.
Kaidan is so by-the-book.  Really, his loyaty comes from respecting Shepard as a good soldier.
Perhaps he/his mother got an urgent message from Rhana that she's in trouble--then it would be a closure thing from that point in his life.  But it was so long ago.  I like the idea of evil Rhana and wiping the floor with her.  Posted Image

Kaidan's mission would be to discover why his clothes keep mysteriously disappearing from his locker.

Hmm, Kaidan's loyalty mission...

"Shepard, I have a favor to ask of you. Some... important stuff, really. But I'd like to keep your... New friends out of it, so come alone."
*FemShep gets kidnapped by Kaidan on a meeting point for a day*

No, back... Hell, I don't know if Shepard need his loyalty proven, more that she needs to prove something to him now.
I'm not that creative to come up with any factors that will help him to trust us again, I think I take his trust for granted... Not the healthiest thing to believe.

As do I.

And, nooo I agree with you Akodo. I don't think Kaidan would need his loyalty proven at all...I mean, the Horizon thing did makes things a bit rocky, I'm hoping that'll get expanded on with some sort of mission, but I wouldn't call it a loyalty one.

I hope that Shepard and Kaidan are even by ME3. Neither of them have anything really to prove to each other.

I think that Shepard takes a lot about Kaidan for granted.  She was so used to him "having her six" (where does that come from anyways?  Never heard it before here) that she seemed on Horizon to just assume that he'd return to follow her again (the be part of my crew like old times thing).  Part of why I think Horizon will be good for them in the long run.  Perhaps she'll realize now that their dynamic has changed.  That she can't take his loyalty for granted--perhaps not loyalty per se but that he would just follow her blindly.  He's a Commander in his own right now, and even out ranks her.  He's successfully lead his own missions (I'm sure) and his own team.  She'll have to come to see him as more of an equal--a true partner in ME3.

I just did the "Major Kyle" side mission.  Kaidan really isn't afraid to speak his mind to his superior officer.  He gives report that the Alliance will pick Kyle up but then adds "I hope you know what you're doing, Commander."  He questions her choice respectfully, but still does it somewhat openly out on the mission.  Interesting.

Jade: I suspect "having someone's six" or "watching one's six" comes from the military convention of using the hands of a clock to designate directions, with 12:00 being directly in front of you and 6:00 being directly behind you.

You could renegade him in ME1, but it seemed to have no effect in ME2. Same if you encouraged Ash to be paragon, maybe it'll turn up in ME3 if you did.

Well "loyalty missions" were misnamed. It was more about squadmates dealing with distractions so they could die more or less at peace. For Kaidan, I think I would have one of the kids who was broken by BAAT make a return and confront Kaidan in some way.

Continuing to play Kaidan's romance and it continues to be great. I hadn't played ME in over a year until ME2 came out, and I've been playing mostly MaleSheps in an attempt to work out my complicated feelings toward Miranda. It feels good to be back with a more natural-feeling FemShep. This is a dry run for my "canon" Shep and now I know she'll be romancing Kaidan.

If you're around, Sia, I made some changes to a certain part of Ch. 8 of Truth and Lies you may want to take a look at.

It means that I am still working on Ch. 9, Night. It's just broken 1000 words. But I was browsing a page on Wookiepedia and ran across some stuff that practically made my muse sit up and beg. One bit of information applied to ch. 8 so I went back and edited a paragraph. I'll be publishing the edit along with Ch. 9 when it's finished. The other bit you're not going to be seeing for a while yet because it applies to something that comes later. Much, much, later.

yeah. i didn't mean loyalty mission like MAKE kaidan loyal to you. just...resolve the Cerberus/trust issues and/or get him closure in some way about something to join your team.

personally, i'd love for it to involve uncovering what Cerberus' real plans for Shepard were and how much the Alliance knew. conspiracy theories abound!

i'd like kaidan's to be one that showed off his leadership abilities.  instead of propping up shepard.  he's no longer her subordinate and it would be neat having him order her around.  or hot.  depending on the gamer.

i recently picked up me1 again solely to romance the lieutenant.  i'm rather enamored by him.  he's such a sweetie and so considerate to my femshep.

Re: A Day of Rest

... would include copious amounts of cuddling, and perhaps old vids and popcorn.  ^_^

Re: Liara's big surprise

An email?  Saying she's pregnant from trying to decode the beacon information in Shepard's mind?  XD

I still can't imagine how Bioware is
going to give Kaidan/Ashley satisfying roles in ME3 after their scene on
Horizon.  It feels like they've written themselves into a corner,
unless they want to continue smearing the VS and make them a traitor or
enemy next time
.  That would have seemed impossible while waiting for
ME2, but now I'm not so sure.

D:

Aww, man.  I never thought of that and now I won't be able to unthink of it.  :(

So i have a question, I'm playing ME1 on the pc(never really played games on the pc but am enjoying it so far) i'm using steam and was wondering how i can take screenshots of Kaidan, i doubt that just pressing the print screen button will work. I might sound like an idiot for not knowing but like i said i've never really played pc games til now. Help?
