Alright, I have finally finished my latest fanfic.  Somehow it ended up being quite a bit longer than my first one.  I hope you enjoy it.  I appreciate any comments :)

Note: I opened a new account on FFNet.  I will re-post there once the 2 day waiting period for new accounts is up.

Wonderful Mrs. Templar...not only were the intimate parts good but you managed to capture the characters through the dialog. I could actually see some of the lines you used(especially Kaidan's and Joker's) being used in game. Liked the idea of the speech Shep gave the crew...something I also think could have happened in game and loved Udina's attitude after the Anderson was chosen as a council member. A really great job.

I am enjoying your fic a great deal Mrs. Templar... but could you please do me a favor and make each character's dialogue a new paragraph when you repost it on FF.net?  For instance:

Shep, "Says something."

Kaiden, "Replies."

It makes it so much easier to read.

np thanks for the suggestion.  I like google docs, except it destroys my formatting when I import it from word :)

Word of advice...when you start posting on Fanfic.net...if you upload your document make sure you go over it carefully...sometimes that website for some reason will cut out some of your words when you upload. I've had words missing several times and then at other times they'll load up fine.

And not a fan of fan-fiction in general (deduction, suggestion and pairings from hell, because a major part of those things are written by some sexual thrust, I don't know how to call it), I prefer to have things left in a matter for conjecture sometimes, but I like to fantasize about facts that are obvious for some scenarios. So if anyone knows fan-fiction in form of a short story, about "some epic Shepard's team adventure, romance - optional" or even description of an actual story from the game, something that's not just dwelling upon this whole Shenko stuff, I'd be grateful for directing me to it :)

Iunctio was really well written and still one of my all time favorites (it has been around for a while, so sorry if someone mentioned it somewhere else).  It is looong but the chapters are stand alone.  The Shenko is subtle, and integrated very nicely in my opinion.

I resent that! My fanfics are wholly non-sexual...erm...well, I suspect Blastette will 'get some' later, but that will be as painful an experience for me as it will be for you.

Don't get me wrong, I... well, love support Kaidan and Shepard relationship completely, I'm happy we're able to sustain it, and I hope we'll be able to develop it. I'm just not a fan of over-interpretation and whining which seem to be a subject of the topics created at every half of the hour. I don't think I'll be able to dig up through all the 209 pages, but what got my interest was those few posts about Shepard's lack of feminity. I agree that she lost all the feminine features she had in previous game (beside the looks and her voice). She walks like a guy with his ankle twisted. But really? Can't blame her with the weight of the things she stand against. There's no place to show your soft side in ME2, which is kinda not fair imho - everyone's sharing their problems with Shepard, but Shepard's not sharing with anyone. Since when she turned to be a therapist, I don't know. If I remember, only Kaidan and Ash were honored with some of her personal stories. And it wasn't much of it.

Welcome to the thread!
Looks like we have quite a few views in common. It's not only "rabid melodramatic fangirls". Image IPB (No one shoot me, please. It was totally a joke!) Definetly agrees Shepard needs someone to lay her concerns on from time to time. It simply makes for a more immersive experience to be able to express your, or at least your character's, feelings and concerns.
Don't normally read fanfiction myself, just some of the stuff posted in this thread. Blastette the Jellyfish.Image IPB
On a bit more serious note, recall some funny, short and light-hearted ones written by people who frequent this thread, but you'd have to ask someone else where to locate them exactly. :)

And the thread races ahead again....

Still not caught up, but was curious to know if anyone else is bothered by Kaidan's statement on Horizon about Anderson "stonewalling" him? What's to stonewall, if he really didn't know anything? My guess is Anderson already knew Shepard was alive, but wasn't about to say anything to anybody that might tip Cerberus off that he had a source (my money's on Joker) and isn't going to say anything to Shepard either, not until he knows which side Shep's coming down on. If the Alliance kept tabs on Major Kyle, would they really write off their big hero without at least trying to keep an eye on her? No matter which way she's leaning? I also don't buy the Alliance would ground their best pilot; think it was a good blind to get him in the door at Cerberus. Seeing as Kaidan is investigating Cerberus, knowing about Shepard is not a good position for him to be put in. Kaidan's reaction had to be genuine; Anderson would have to know Cerberus was watching him. I notice the Illusive Man said Kaidan's file was well-classified, not that he didn't have it.

As long as I'm going there, how DOES the Illusive Man know the Reapers are involved with the missing colonies and the Collectors? Shepard asks him this, saying she knows he's holding something back, and he gives her some non-answer, and it's not pursued. All I can think of is that it's something in the as-yet-unreleased comic that reveals the connection between the Collectors and the Reapers. Something must have happened with Shepard's hand-off that he doesn't want her to know about, otherwise why lie about Liara working for the Shadow Broker? Or it's sloppy writing (hope that's not true).

Yes, I'm thinking way too much about this.

Well, he has suspicions they were involved - but Shepard confirmed it.

The reasons for his suspicions are shown in the second ME novel - Basically, the Collectors in the month after Sovereign's defeat are suddenly very interested in collecting human samples now - basically, they normally paid mercs in Omega to get slaves with particular special traits - like Left-handed Salarian twins, etc.

Then Sovereign gets killed and its like *blam* Human biotics is all their interested in. I suspect the comics will spell it out further too.

But to be honest, TIM doesn't KNOW that much for certain at the beginning of ME2 - he SUSPECTS alot - such as the Collectors and that they are working for the Reapers.

A funny aside, last night when I was finishing up the Collector base in my renegade playthrough, I had a funny glitch when the cut scene started. It showed a crack in the ceiling where TIM was watching. I didn't have Fraps up otherwise I would have screencapped it.

But he obviously had direct surveillance.

On a more serious note, I'm not sure how TIM is getting his information, but what if he were a rogue Reaper agent?

And one more thing...

Who is trying to kill Shepard when she first wakes up at the beginning of ME2? Yes, Wilson was a traitor, but who was he working for? The Shadow Broker? How would anyone even know about Shepard? Unless I missed it, this is never explained.

That Anderson stonewalled him basically means he refused to give him any more infortmation or answer his questions. He just told him to go to Horizon, help the colonists and look out of Cerberus.

As for the Reapers, I really doubt they are simply just evil. They probably have some other goal aside from making more of themselves that we'll figure out in ME3. Maybe they're actually trying to save the galaxy/universe for all we know. There will probably be some reveal about why Ash/Kai's files are so classified,. and hopefully more about the Illusive Man as well. Maybe he is Armistan Banes? *gasp* I really have no clue.
